Hopefully this won't happen soon, my girl is off the road at the moment
What's happened baz?

With regards to dates, will check the diary and see what dates I can do as I don't want to miss this!!! Haha. Seriously will put to a vote but I think second half of this year. Hopefully we can get a big turnout if we give enough notice. :)

Phil T has kindly put this as a banner on all threads for 30 days, so when it goes down I will go through the thread and get the names of all that are interested and we can vote on a preferred month. Democracy rules and all that. Once we get a date we can take it from there.

Happy to get input from all who have been before too, and any locals that live there too :thumb:

My poor girl got broken rear spring and the time has come for the drc failure :(

Sadly I can't join in as I'm in Australia, but have Welsh blood in me and the roads are great.

Just a suggestion for setting a date with "better weather" that I once had explained to me in Sydney and its reliability is pretty good (but nothing is 100% perfect).

The idea is to pick your day that is the full moon or a day or so either side, but preferably actually the day of the full moon. It works in Southern Hemisphere but can't see why it wouldn't hold true in North. It was originally told me along the lines of people going crazy with mass shootings etc etc and its never raining and then the link between full moon insanity and no rain. Many of my mates have now used it to good advantage. Interestingly it was told me by a taxi driver ... Who'd have thought.

Oh yes, there is then the problem of being on the road with full moon nutters ... Which also seems to prevail.

Good luck all

That's one of the strangest things I've ever read, but thanks anyway :thumb:

DATE DECIDED. 8-9TH July

Ok guys, so based on my own calendar (and also coincidentally on the weekend of a full moon! ) I have decided that we should do this on the 8th-9th July. This is two weeks after summer solstice, giving us 16 hours of daylight, more than enough time to blast around the valleys!

We can look at roads and routes etc closer to the time, but in the meantime let's get a list going.
