Yeah, I did some crazy speeds last year racing a motorbike, and the chuaffeur for the CEO of Audi USA who was taking an R8 V10 plus down to Paris for him, nice bloke, went to the same uni as my mate who was with us ended up knowing each other, or of each other.

Looks fantastic! I'm all stickerd up as well but I can't post a pic as my internet is down and I can't make it work from phone very well.
Look out for me, it's a volcano black B7 RS4 with adv1 style rims and similar Stickers to yours but with a huge gulf logo on the bonnet!

We had a great time. We watched much more of the race this year and then watched the race when we were back in camp too. The new event shelter I bought did us proud through the rain so that will be making a return for sure. Spotted quite a few other RS Audi’s but didn’t meet up with Amar in the end sadly. Had a very busy weekend, a fantastic time but I am truly knackered now! ;)

P.S. Even got spotted by Kent_Andy on the way back round the M25 although I suspect he was waiting to see me ;)

I was told the UK police were going to be waiting for returning Le Man'ers on the Monday (yesterday). Some of the M20 gantries clearly have fixed cameras on too nowdays. So it was a steady 80 mph all the way home for us up the M20 M25 A1(M) with extra care approaching Dartford tunnel

Imagine the cameras on the M20 are like those on the M25 - much bigger tolerance at 70 mph NSL, but reduced tolerance at 'variable speed limit' 60, 50, 40 mph etc etc. You can *just* see the cameras on the M20 + M25 hanging down behind the gantries as you approach them. But yes - gone are the days of bombing south down the M20 at dawn for the Le Mans Eurotunnel / ferry

Its the cameras into Dartford tunnel northbound I'm always paranoid about - and I bet the cameras with stay despite the fact the toll booths are long gone!

Great trip, slightly overshadowed by some pr1cks who broke into the RS6 in Paris. Got caught up in mad Friday traffic too, madness, they loved the RS 6 - so many cheers, snaps and the big crowd cleared an area so I could boot it. Glad the Germans won it, shame it wasn't Lottrer though, he was quicker than the F1 drivers and is a nice bloke/proper enthusiast. His sport quattro is fricking sweet.

Unfortunately it always attracts some <beep>.

Went to the GBW and was punted into the side carpark. There bloody field was full of tat like MX5! Pffft. Not enough tunnels en route, the manual changes bouncing off the limiter are hilarious, sound like a right Barry boy.

All came down to mistakes and pit stops. Audi need to learn from Porsche who did the nose in the pit lane. Amazing that the no 8 was slammed into the wall and they just brushed it down!

Sorry to hear about the C6 Amar. Do you have the double glazed / laminated side windows? Hopefully no lasting damage

Doodlebug - it was indeed a very tense race, Audi were unfortunate with the slow zone-into-armco incident and a puncture causing two unscheduled pit stops
