Printouts to include: Power & torque, (wheels & flywheel calculated), boost, lamda

VAG-COM loggers:

GrahamS4
Neily
Jarv
55JWB
MarkB
Harper—D
shineydave (and pressure testing)
Daybar (and pressure testing)

Block to be logged:

Engine 003, 115 & 118

This will give: time, MAF, throttle %, ignition timing, boost specified & actual & air intake temp.

What I would like is for the VAG-COM logger to sit in the car on the rolling road logging these blocks and marking each power run.

When the car comes off the rolling road, the owner can take the logger out and do 4 FATS runs, 2 in each direction on the same stretch of road.

We need a volunteer to collect the data & collate it please.

Still required:

OK. So if we run create one log file for the dyno session and one log file for the FATS runs per car. Preferably named as such with the car reg or owners name. SO long as we are marking either the power runs or FATS acceleration points, this should all be able to be collated later. I'll bring a USB stick so someone unlucky can leave with all the data.

I'm a bad passenger so if we have more than enough loggers I am more than happy to step aside and let someone else have all the fun!

I'm not a good passenger either, but I did offer earlier on to be one of the VAG-COM loggers (and I'll have my kit with me). Also quite happy to collect and collate all the data

I f I wasn't such a bad (read scared) passenger I'd suggest 1 VAGCOm sticking with each car from dyno through to FATS run, could be more simple.
I did say early on I wasn't keen to be in on the FATS runs, but if we can go for a different approach I don't mind logging all the dyno runs. I we were to seperate those logging FATS runs and dynos runs, would still be very easy to collate afterwards. Just an option.

As long as neither of you are first at the burger van - there'll be <beep> all left for the rest of us ...

Osama is staying at George Dubyah's gaff over in Florida at the moment - so address your postcards to Disneyland and he should get them ... :nodder:

Well done, step right up, chief FATS logger sir.

@ Woody, following your logic, first or LAST mate!

@ John - can we put the burger van on the dyno before we go home?

Will the dyno operator not be using the diagnostic port whilst doing the run??

Chaps, no way I can get there :( any chance of a webcam feed for the whole or bits of the session?

I would think Thorney have internet, just need to use one of the many laptops there on the day, an IP address, cheap webcam and we can all watch!

Would be ace if you could throw something together?

Cheers

Nigel.
