I was also a passenger in the RS4 when the instructor said 'slow down your doing 81 mph, this is not good'

I'd be interested to know how much people pushed it on the banking?

Everything I went out in 'pinged' at 100mph, a couple told me to not go any higher. However I have to say, my first trip out in the S4 I pulled at least 135mph and the instructor didn't even make a comment.

I tried giving the RS4 the beans in 4th and 5th and as soon as I hit 110mph the instructor said no more please! We've been given a bollocking already today!

S4 had a warning bleeper at 100 and the old boy was super strict on it. The others seemed much cooler

Its a dangerous track that's for sure. There's little or no run off all the way around the circuit and lots of hard objects to hit into. The accident in the post was a particularly nasty one, which I believe was on the corner before the jump
As you say, you can understand why the instructors are slightly cautious at times

That was my first car out and the one I cracked 135 with - he was a first class passenger with me.

Apparently the 4th Lane on the bowl isn't designed for speeds in excess of 100mph, from then on its the banking you need to be using - and a helmet!!!

As I said before, I think some bollockings were given out through the day as instructors seemed to tighten up as the day went on.

I said to a couple guys, there's no way I'd jump into the passenger seat with a stranger driving something with over 300hp!!

Not good for the blood pressure!! Lol

I have to say, the wife has a CRV and I wouldn't fancy driving that thing round the alpine route at the same speeds I was doing in the RS4!!

The damn thing feels unstable at 40mph round a roundabout!!!
