Agreed. The guy in the TTRS, apart from looking very TT, was spot on. He just let you get on with it.

Not in the slightest , he was informative too and not fazed in the slightest if you went a bit enthusiatically ... R8 instructor was a good egg too

Yes, as opposed to the brake/watch speed/etc of the others.

R8 and RS6 guys were good. Did the uneven surface on the way back in dynamic. Was surprisingly good.

Head up display in the RS6, which was awesome until I put my polarized raybans on and it then disappears as the polar filter takes it out:(
And, testing an RS4 on boggo suspension and steering in comparison to my dynamic car
Suffered the same in my car. Favourite Sunglasses on & the HUD vanishes so have had to swap shades to compensate:(

He was concerned about the inside of his tyres!

RS6 was a monster....really want now. And that's annoying. Agree, R8 impressive, would've loved a go on the alpine in it.

Indeed, thanks for suggesting that to him - much appreciated! :thumb:

Agreed Ian...and that's coming from a TTRS owner!

I know from over on the TT forum that brand new TTRS Plus models are being snapped up for a lot less than list price. Out of curiosity I've just spec'd a TTRS Plus coupe on DrivetheDeal with the same options as mine has got - the prices being quoted including all the options are:

Manual £42k approx
S-tronic £45k approx

Still an awful lot of money for 'just a TT' but not as bad as the official list price seen yesterday. I love mine, but still wouldn't pay that much for a new one...there are deals to be had though for anyone interested...
2009 Sepang Blue TTRS Coupe
2006 Sprint Blue RS4 Saloon (B7) - Sold but not forgotten
2006 BMW 130i M Sport - Sold

I liked the HUD a lot, but I found the massive binnical on the top of the dash for it a to be a bit 'cheap' in comparison to the otherwise quite nice cabin and it didn't appear to fit particularly flush.
I don't remember anything like that on my old E60M5, but that was a long time ago
What's the F10 like ? I'm assuming, like the E60, it was always designed to have it and wasn't an option, so not added on later like the RS ?
I've had a drive of an F10, and I don't remember seeing a big plastic lump on the dash for it (but then I was holding on for dear life as it was blimmin fast for a RWD car :biggrin3: )

For info, did you know that the HUD cars have to have a different windscreen to non HUD car in the range, so I'd hate to think what a replacement windscreen on an F10 M5 or HUD Eq'd RS6 would cost through auto glass
