I'm thinking it will be a good day out at Mallory. You can buy track time by the session.

You don't need to stay at the Hilton to have dinner there. MarkB is arranging a table & there was even talk of a disco :)

DavidT wrote: I resigned from the Crew yesterday because I felt I could no longer associate myself with the site because of the way things were being done. I have no issues with John, Simon or Mark but I have with Phil.

The RS246 Crew has now been disbanded, as you will see posted elsewhere. It was Phil's intention to do this after RS246 Live anyway, but my leaving has made it happen now.

I made an offer to John & Mark to continue organising the RS246 Live!! event as I wanted it to happen, I believe in it passionately, as those of you who have spoken to me will know. I did not however make this offer to Phil.
Guys,

Those of you who know David will know of his passion and dedication to RS246.com over the years, both as a member and part of the Crew. Those of you who don't, take it from me that he would not have taken this decision lightly and without his reasons.

David has chosen not to publish those reasons on the forum, which we must respect, but it leaves me with serious concerns about how the site is being run and why the Crew has been disbanded.

I will not push David for his reasons on here, but will address the latter point in the other thread.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank David for his input, moderation, technical advice, and dedication to the site over the years.

Best regards,
Clive

lets allow David and the crew sort things out. This is all still real fresh, and so our posting comments and jumping to conclusions really is not helping them.

I have no idea what has gone down, but do know the crew from various track events / meets over the years.
For this to happen there has to have been some serious sh!t, and no doubt some long term friendships will have been lost.
These guys put in a shed load of effort on our behalf, sometimes other things (family, work, etc) have to take priority, but regardless, I thank you all for your fine efforts.

I have no doubt rs246 will go on with or without the original crew (unless the server is pulled ! ). Just how well will depend on who is put in place to look after it.

So, my short message to the crew is, Please don't do anything too hasty. That includes airing your dirty washing on here.
I know from my own experiences that to discuss issues like this on a forum only divides the members.
Finally, be sure to leave someone in control. I'm sure you'll explain the outcome in your own good time.
