Jarv,

Mine is the Avus RS4. Average 23 MPG including a couple of squirts up to 130 and 2 hours getting off the campsite. I thought that wasn't too bad.

Oops, sorry Paul, got you confused with waitey1 (I ask the same question of waitey1, was that your E-Type with Wolfies on?).

You did well on the MPG Paul, I didn't make a note of mine, but I wasn't exactly erring on the side of economy. Avoided the toll road from Rouen on way there and back, went on the old N138. Ran with a couple of vettes and tvr's on way down, great fun.

What was Houx like this year? Checking out Club Arnage it looks like there were a few scrotes nicking stuff on Blue Nord and Maison Blanche. I had nothing go missing (apart from my passport which I lost on the ferry and is now sitting at Dover Port Authority) on MB, but it was obvious that once the race started the security just let anyone into MB, with or without a camping ticket, so it was asking for trouble.

I thought Houx was quieter than normal, no swimming pools, not too many fireworks. Fortunately we had a pitch on higher ground and kept out of the water. Stayed at Blue last year, there was thieving going on then as well. Lost the keys to my TT then and had to get it trailered to Calais to collect my spares. The originals turned up two weeks later in the bottom of a very wet and smelly cool box. Too much to drink? Moi?

Yes waitey1 has Wolfies, parked by the little wood in MB (kept quite dry inside despite weather) Security was puzzling, rabid to begin with then petered out. Who were the people allowed to camp where we normal head for in the little wood ringed by Armco? Registered with Just Tickets for next year rumours abound that they may number the spots in 08.We left on Monday morning by which time the gates out of MB had been locked and we had to drive to the main entrance getting under the feet of the guys trying to tidy up. Funny thing French Logic.
