Well, I mentioned this to Mrs W, and... <drum roll please> she has given me the green light
What's more, she's even going to pay for me to go

So, what I need to know is more about the travel arrangements, and other costs (If its too much dosh I won't go due to other financial commitments, so really need to know about this)

Btw, Thorney, what's the normal drinking practice - pint of wife-beater and a Breezer chaser ??

(not sure what's been up with this site / our network - not been able to log on for last 2 days as gateway times out...)

I have sent the following email to Oliver:
I hope all is well with you. As you know we are planning to attend the event again this year and I have a few questions I would like to raise:

1. What is the cost for?
- 2 Drivers sharing a double room
- 1 Driver and 1 Guest sharing a double room

2. Would it be possible to arrange a visit to one of the Audi factories on the 13th November? I think Neckarsulm would be the most appropriate, as the RS4 and RS6 were/are built there?

3. I see that again this year's payment is via bank transfer. This incurs a cost of ~€ 22,50 for each individual payment . Is there any way we can either pay by credit card, or could you supply us with a payment date when we could arrange a group payment and therefore spread the cost of the transfer?

4. Have you visited our website www.rs246.com? It may be of interest to you/Audi, and we would love to be able to work together in the future to promote the Audi/quattro GmbH.

I have also contacted a ferry booking company to see what group rate I can get on the SeaCat for an expected 15 people and 10 cars. I have assumed the following schedule:
 • 11th (Evening) meet and stay overnight at Dover
 • 12th (Morning) Dover -> Calais crossing on seacat, then drive to Neckarsulm
 • 13th Visit Audi factory at Neckarsulm
 • 14th RS Drivers' Challenge
 • 15th RS Drivers' Challenge
 • 16th Drive back to Calais for an evening crossing to Dover

How does all this sound, am I heading in the right direction?

Thanks to Eric for checking things with Oliver.... It now appears that we have to fill in two forms!! They are available from the original link, and here also.

Not many places left, I'm afraid. Especially if already 7 from RS246 confirmed directly.

Imho, there's a possible risk that by end of this week, most places are gone (with all people returning from holidays).
Now there can "always" a place left but it might be tedious.
