Re: Who remembers VMAX ??
I looked around the bare carbon Enzo that Joe Macari has for sale at this years Classic Car show; the attention to detail in manufacturing process is amazing. The interior trim was a bit OTT though.

Re: Who remembers VMAX ??
Yeah the B7 was TTS charged. Which was surprising. It came past me and at the time I thought it was very quick - for a NA B7. But it certainly didn't romp past like it had another 180PS which it apparently did. Trap speed was 12mph more for the B7 - and I'm limited to the 164mph limiter which I hit about 200 yards before the trap. Before I knew it was charged I thought it was quick - on reflection, not so much. Odd.Rw@@dy wrote:That fxx sounds incredible! I'm guessing the b7 rs4 was supercharged
Yep Sam you're right, this is a JCWF exhaust on the car, but it's not the final solution - roll back a few months and I had to pick my car up from them in a hurry for personal reasons and they put on one of the old prototypes to get me moving. The car is back with them now for another week or so for the final push - we're all conscious we need to crack on and make something final!
DK - video is good, although even the gopro can't do justice to how amazing the FXX sounded. Truly staggering - could hear him crossing the traps 2+ miles away, despite not being able to see it as it's the other side of the crest. Car was mental.
Wish I'd gone last year in the C6 (the ticket I had is a rollover from a few years ago). Pretty much everything there was quicker (:() but I'd have done well in the C6 I think

Was great fun - weather was lovely, people were all lovely (apart from DK!

Re: Who remembers VMAX ??
Found out off the owner from IG that the Fxx's don't travel around with the team now as the cars are either in a room at the factory or locked away in owners garages. The crews/teams now go out with the new fxxK instead.
Ross, when you collecting it? I'm working local all week as finishing a few C6 headlights off so be good to hear it before it goes.

No idea mate. I've said they can have it as long as needed this time - I don't need it back for several weeks so they've time to get it done around other work. Will let you know when it's done mind

Looked like a great event & the spread of cars appeared good & varied too. I'm booked on for Hypermax V on the 17th Sept & definitely looking forward to that.HYFR wrote:Yes Paul
