Anyone care to elaborate on the award ?!
Audi Driver International Day- 13 October @ Castle Combe
We won silver for the most informative site, A2 club won gold.......possibly need a stewards enquiry about that........but heck we cant win every year
Mac was great fun and a pleasure to have a female passenger who didnt act as a speed limiter, she was actually in the car when Mr Collins tried to prove a MTMsupercharged V8 is quicker than a normally aspirated V8, how wrong he was... as usual.
By the way.... would not play pool with you for money.. for someone who had not been on a track before you were going mighty well at the end of the day

We raised £48 from track passenger rides and have sent £100 to Marrie Curie on behalf of RS246 as an entire group. Many thanks to everyone for their generous donations.

Would just like to thank Dace (Dave) for a passenger ride round Combe in has RS4.
First time out in an RS4, what can I say other than I want one!!
Really impressed with the grip (other than the sideways moment after hitting the patch of untreated oil) and the brute power the engine delivered.
All going well the hunt will begin in the New Year for a B5 RS4.
Thanks again Dave really appreciated the passenger ride.

No worries. Really enjoyed the day and so glad I took advantage of the "quiet" track first thing in the morning.Silversea wrote:Would just like to thank Dace (Dave) for a passenger ride round Combe in has RS4.

It was a very successful day for us.
Thanks everyone for coming along, pretty good sales of merchandise, thanks simple1 jnr for looking after that for us
We were very pleased to get another award, your votes are much appreciated.
Thanks for the passenger laps Paz, dazzer & simple one, most enjoyable
I know an S4 lost its oil & caused delays, but I'm not aware of any dings, which is how we all hope trackdays end.
I had no brake trouble this year, and can recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's they are an excellent all round tyre. They stood up very well.

I also ran PS2's for the day and I have to agree, they are superb. Once warm never let me down all day (apart from one corner on the oil spillage from the S4..).DavidT wrote:It was a very successful day for us.

First event of its kind to attend, many thanks mac for letting me be part of the little convoy on the way there, good to meet you too, great run down there, that was one of my highlights having the burn on the M4 with the other convoy, was awesome!mac4RS wrote:A great trip down to Combe's with Tom in his S4 in close pursuit (nice meeting you Tom).
The trip culminated when we were joined by a silver S4 Cab, before we saw (or should I say HEARD) Kim Collings in his S.Blue S4 Cab along with his mates I.Yellow B5 RS4.
Definitely an enjoyable day out, good to meet some of the faces behind the names here, roll on next year!
Thanks again mac for letting me be a passenger in your RS4 on the track, very enjoyable experience.
And finally a word of thanks to the RS246 crew for the parking on the stand, fine collection of stealth motors!
There are 2 tools you need in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it moves and it should'nt, use the Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40
