RS246 Scotland Drive
Re: RS246 Scotland Drive
can't believe the trek you making. 2hours but I'm sure that will fly by. Mind there's that average speed cameras on the a9 now. Some people say there running and others say there not but better not risk them, haha.

Re: RS246 Scotland Drive
Arrived
Yes it's quite a trek but all the tech in cars nowadays make it easy to do big mileage, besides which Scotland is a lovely place and you only live once.

Re: RS246 Scotland Drive
Great day shame about the rain for the guys that came up from Dan saff, scotsburgring was awesome thanks for all the commitment guys always a worry nobody shows.
Re: RS246 Scotland Drive
I've just got back.
Great day driving, shame about the Scottish summer weather! Still, at least my diesel RWD kept up with the V8 / V10 Quattro's!
Good to meet you guys, look forward to another drive, hopefully in the dry!
Big respect to Faisal - nutter driving all that way! Did you and the under tray make it back ok? I put on the afterburners when we got to the north west as was getting tired.
B7's sounded mental!!!

Re: RS246 Scotland Drive
Good to meet you all guys. I enjoyed the drive up there, but what a royal pain in the arse getting home!!
I think the undertray came loose at scotsburgring, and got worse till it was scraping across the ground by the time we got to the first service station. Thanks to the help of Dave and a random guy that fetched a trolley jack, managed to remove the piece that was hitting the ground, and carried on.
Dave - I had to slow as the undertray situation got worse and there some really unpleasant noises going on! Pulled into services again and the undertray was fully on the ground apart from the very rear that was still fixed to the car. Tried in vain for a while to remove it, until a drive over a kerb on the car park finally got the bastard off and I could rejoin the M6. Only to be stuck stationary for a while behind an accident!! Aargh
Add in those two sections of closed M6, and it's taken me forever to get home!
