Haha, glad you had a good time pity I couldn't make it, you have certainly got a car to be proud of.

888 are an awesome tyre, very hard to get hold of though.

Agree. I will be taking them to both Ring trips and Spa, but will be taking road set too, hope the hotel lets me keep my wheels in the room ;)

Time attack have changed there tyre Sponsor to Pirelli, so there's loads of part worn R888 on the market now.

LOL - I've been out with Paul driving on many occasions and in many machines. Paul is a certified loon!!!! Now combine that with a mental car and the result is something I could only compare to going on a roller coaster, blindfolded!!! There were many moments where I just thought it was impossible to recover, but somehow Paul's "skill as a driver" along with a little electronic aid made good. It's the first time I've actually had to say to Paul that I was feeling uncomfortable with his speed.

The d-u-d-e moment was as we approached the top of Goose Neck at warp factor 10 to overtake the GT3RS who was on the racing line.... Fate looked certain and the only plausible outcome was a significant amount of ploughing.... But no, something happened that I have no explanation for; minimal drama and "owned" GT3RS.

Very funny, I don't think I will be sitting in the passenger without a sick bag.

Cheers Phil, I'm literally crying with laughter as I read the above.

Was an awesome event & only bettered by great company. Was a pleasure to meet you Sonny & sorry I didn't get chance to say bye but i needed to get off & you were still on track with the Instructor. Also wanted to come out on a pax lap but ran out of time. Will defo jump In when over in Germany in a few weeks.

Was the 1st time I'd taken the GT-R on track & I'm overwhelmed at how well it & I performed. I'm fairly experienced in track driving & had some good instruction over the years, however the car was by far the more skilled yesterday, as the couple of times by ability reached it's limit the car still stayed on the black stuff (above GT3 RS moment was one of these) The car is biblical in it's abilities & It was a joy to track. No doubt the sticky rubber & upgraded discs/pads helped a lot but. Worth noting also that Cadwell is a very easy track to learn & thus even in this single event, everyone was much faster in the afternoon & Phil, those last laps were awesome & still shows how very capable the B5 RS4 is on track.

So how did the new discs compare the old. As discussing there very similar if not the same as the B7s. What pads was you using?

Sonny, the new discs performed perfectly & a massive improvement over the OEM drilled. Was using new Pagid RS29 pads all round & again a massive step up from stock.

Never changed the brakes on my B7 but I'd advise binning drilled & going for grooved, whilst upgrading to a better performing disc. Mine are DBA 5000 Series which are pricey when compared to AP & the like but are a much better disc (so far).

Having them checked over tomorrow for wear etc. as curious to get an understanding of the levels of punishment they'll take.

Very nice, the track is very narrow with little run off area, does it feel like that too?

Just how I like it Paul, separates the men from the boys :bigblink:

There is plenty off at one half of the track, around Chris, Coppice and Goose. But up near Hale, Barn and hairpin there is hardly no run off, however there a slow part of the circuit.

Yes not long now, really looking forward to the meet too.

Due to pick up the car on Sat after Lepsons and KDS have worked their magic.

Hope is doesn't pee down though.
