Castle Combe
Someone on the Castle Combe Forum caught the Golf incident on video so I hope this link works. 6 minutes of video, it happens about half way through. Quite an impact!!

Brakes failed - I was watching from the observation point next to the start finsih line.
Dialinx car was running 1.8t with est 420bhp, gold was running 1.8t with 350 or so bhp, but was on pure slicks.

Keith was testing a new gearbox in his A4 so he was racing the guy up to a point. He didn't know him and was quite annoyed that he left the door open a couple of times for him to go past only for the Golf not to. In the end, as you will see, he overtook him in the corner which was also a bit of poor driving for a track day. At the time the A4 was doing 1.18 mins laps which is about 1.5 seconds off his quickest pace to give some idea.
The A4's 1.8T engine dynos at 456bhp on the test bed but its still a relatively heavy car with the quattro set up and racing roll cage etc. The Golf was pretty impressive right up to the point when he cooked his brakes.
