OK so who is coming to toast Adam's final days? :beerchug: :drink: :bigblink:
Tomorrow from 7pm at the Swan. Tom let me know if you're coming up tonight as well and I can at least laugh at you in the car park and sort you out a coffee before you turn back for the Spa town :biggrin3:
Do need some good polish and car shampoo too by the way.
See whoever tomorrow. Won't be talking about the new RS4 cos I can't afford one!! :boohoo:

Having a f*cking terrible day
Sorry to hear that mate, we missed you. Might have to pop down and get the goods from you before Christmas/Donnington- Car needs a damn good clean.

Nice to meet you Tony :bigwave: Will certainly have to check out that RS246 discount in the restaurant :bigblink:

We even had snow to make us feel Christmasy and proud to be Quattro owners, at least those of us who didn't turn up in Clio's anyway, eh Adam! :thumb:
Hope work is going OK Simon and not too hectic. We will do it again sometime in the New Year. Looking forward to Donnington now . . . :jump:

Yeah, fair pissed off I missed it actually, purchased a HP7410 wireless multifunction printer on Wednesday and ever since have been on the phone to HP support as I canny get the fecker to work with my desktop. Works marvously with the laptop, problem is the laptop is just a house computer and has none of the files and programs I need to operate my businesses.

The HP support is based in India, what with the bad line and the broken English it is very very difficult to get anything resolved. You need to turn off all of your anti-virus, drop the firewall and the spyware software before installation, so I have had my PC virtually unprotected for 3 days..... Nice. Software gets to 96% and then freezes, I have tried everything it is becoming a joke.

Rang customer support in the UK this morning and told them to shove it hard up there arses. It seemed like such a great idea, wireless printing on the LAN - but if there is any software on your PC that disagrees with it then you stand no chance. The latest suggestion is that the mentor for the HP7410 will call me on Monday to help, but is actually likely to suggest wiping the machine and installing the printer without any other software to avoid the conflict. Oh yeah, like I am going to spend 4-5 days backing up all of my data and files to wipe the machine and then another 3 days re-installing all of my software just to get the HP wireless to work....What a load of junk.

Anyone know a good equivilent printer that is multifunction and wireless that actually works?

Anyway, all this means I have two days work to catch up on (emailing all printable files to the laptop to print !!!) in half a day before I go to the cottage to get on the tools for the weekend. Have negotiated a skip on the neighbouring land - but only for this weekend. It means I have to dig up about 6 square meters of 4" concrete floor in this weather in the weekend. Good job theres a great pub down the road.

All in all - a crap week - but at least I have an RS4.....

Christ, i went on a bit !!, Best crack on..............

Good to see you again last night. I didn't know a sprinkling of snow could unnerve quattro drivers so easily. No probs for a humble Clio, but couldn't quite get the normal "sub 7" performance on the way home.

Anyway, I didn't have any problem getting to sleep as the name "Savoy" magically popped into my head.

Tony - told my wife about you, and she went to Droitwich High with Mable. Perhaps you can remember her brother Rod McG?

Maybe see some of you if I get to Donington, but that rather depends on my post-op recovery. I'm sure it'll be fine, but don't know the effects of lateral G on my McNuggets. Am also off the dips as well.

Cheers

Adam

Well I don't suppose that's very likely anyway mate. Didn't think it could be done twice!! :biggrin3:
Seriously, I hope you're well and not too 'sensitive' now. How's it looking for next weekend? I obviously mean the chances of you going to Donnington not how's your 'wotzit' looking :jump:
