LMFAO :notworthy:

That pic makes it look like Tim's hair is allight !
More worryingly there is a very nasty dark stain down his jeans
Did you have channel 39 in LM as well ? :bigblink: :jump:

Now what did we decide - was it Rod stewart or the bloke from the carry on films

I think you'll find that's either a shadow, beer having been thrown or water from one of the many super-soakers doing the rounds! Poor Tim! You can't cast that kind of aspersion at him!

No, no channel 39... :( And the strippers haven't turned up for a couple of years either! :(

I am still undecided on that front... though I'm erring towards Rod Stewart at the moment... All Tim needs on that front are a nasty pair of tartan troosers to add to his ensemble!

LOL! Afraid not... I got that from Google Images after searching for Rod himself...

Hehe, yeah... He's just a big attention seeker really!

At the risk of me taking this thread over completely, here's another post!

I've uploaded all my pics and videos from the weekend to my website and you can find them all here: http://www.crawleybrothers.co.uk/Drivin ... hleife.htm

Most of what's on the website will be of very little interest to you all, but you might be amused by some of the Le Mans content that you can access from the link at the top. Hopefully it might whet your appetite for coming along next year!

PS: Please be kind to my server, as it's a knackered old thing sitting on a rather slow 512K ADSL line in the front room of my house in England!
PPS: Please be even kinder about the design of the website... I know it's awful and needs a massive overhaul...
Cheers,

Charles

Got back this afternoon....knackered....we had a longer drive back than most but boy was it worth it....

Movit were utterly fantastic....I'm gonna make a seperate post about the experiences because I think it deserves it....the service from everyone there was beyond expectations!

They didn't hang about updating their website either....

http://www.movit.de/htm/audrs4.htm

Still bedding the brakes in....so can't give any impressions on their use yet really.

Glad everyone made it back safe and sound......I had a cracking time and learnt loads (not all of it from channel 39 !!) ;-)

Hi Chaps, finally found my way here. Big thanks to Phil & John for organising and to all who attended for making it the event that it was. Look forward to the next one, when I'll make sure I'm driving something. :)

I've got some VAG-COM logs for various people, I'll sort them into manageable format (probably Excel) and distribute accordingly.

Quote of the weekend 2 :"I'm afraid I've made a dreadful smell in there". :D

Oh Crap! The past returns to haunt me..... again!!!!

Charles you (insert my favourite word here) thanks for digging that one up. Could have been worse, I could have been the one handcuffed by those gay French policemen.

The jacket piccies? Bring 'em on! Je ne regret rien with that. You were all jealous is all

Yo dudes,

Nice to hear everyone finally back home safe and sound, I didn't get back until late Tuesday afternoon myself after stopping at my parents in the Midlands, all I have done since is sleep and fight off horrible nasty germs (wonder where they could have come from). I suppose I dont have too much to complain about really considering the rate at which we were loosing people over the w/e-

Andiroo - I will eventually get to buy you a beer one of these days mate, gutted you couldn't make it I'm not that far away fancy a beer before Xmas?

Simple 1 - Hope everything is settling at home, didn't even get to say goodbye and only a small hello.

JR- What a choice to have to make, would agree though that if your gonna be ill and have you head down a bog its always more comforting to know it's your own.

The trackday at Spa was ok, I would like to jump around saying it was fantastic but I just couldn't seem to get much confidence up in some of the off-camber corners after an incident in one of the earlier sessions with oil on the track, I would have normally taken the ESP off by the end of the day, but it stayed firmly switched on after it stopped me ending up in the side of a Clio already in the barriers- very interesting momment indeed as it was as it is the only time I have ever felt it doing something positive.

Great to see Eric and the rest of his gang make it as it looked like we were going to be another man down before it had started. Must also comment about Erics driving aswell as it seems to have come on in leaps and bounds from when I first meet him at Donington. Just need to get you hanging that little wider on some of the corners for the better line, but the car control was in excellent order mate.

We all decided to miss the last session of the day in favour of travelling to the ring while still light (after much disscussion at Dover we were naughty and didn't buy the lamp convertors). Phil must have loaded the wrong software for his sat nav as we seemed to be travelling via farmers tracks and rambling routes but we got there in the end though, hey Phil :)

Who saw the yellow Carrera GT as we drove into Adenau? ...............absolutely fecking gorgus!

Steady Eddy's - Bikers welcome, Gay porn on TV and nothing to eat but pork product, make your own minds up!.......and what was Andy doing in his room at 1.30am both evenings??? None the less the hospitalily was good and the view over the ring itself was nice to sit and watch with a few beers at the end of the day from the balcony.

The Ring - Never have I experienced anything like it, I think the bit of sunshine in the morrning must have brought everyone out to play with their toys. It was totally ram packed to the seams with just about evey type of vechile imaginable going around. I managed to get 5 laps in gaining more and more confidence with each trip out as I started to remeber certain sections of track, Tim had been flying around all day with me only getting in his way for the first few sessions, it was in the last run out that I let him past in the early stages but then picked up his tail and had a fantastic run to the end with him, that was it for me then for the day giving the last run on the ticket to one of the lads. It could have been very easy to get carried away, so cut it short in favour of a beer.

All in all I had a wicked weekend with the guys and gals.

Nce to meet up with JohnW for the first time after reading his posts for so long and his passenger Glenn, also meeting FlashyG who was pretty damn funny at times and clearly enjoying himself on his first trackday. RS4john would have been nice to see a bit more of you mate, shame you missed the ring, but if you have things to do then you have things to do. Charles, nice to meet you and hope you enjoyed the drives out with me both at spa and the ring, it didn't seem that bad cos you were not trying to pump the imaginary brake pedal in the passengers footwell. Would very much like to experience trip to the Lemans 24 if Im welcome in your camp, just as long as is doesn't clash with my plans to do the IOM TT kart race im doing next year.

Finally like to mention the crossing back as it was so funny, ended up with me and Phil in uncontrolable fits of laughter while Tim and kelly feed the fish.

comment of the weekend - I think he must have been conceived with a weak sperm!

Til the next time.

P.s are we having a little get toghether for a xmas meal and drinks??
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Tim,
I'll post the pics as soon as I can. I doubt it will be before the weekend now though.
Your right, we're all out shopping for a coat like yours, and I'm letting my hair grow too now :biggrin2:

Glenn, you beat me to that quote. Thanks for your company mate, and for all the data logging. See you tonight

Dave, was Gav's woody after a bit of sly ch39 watching by any chance ?

Gav, nice writeup and good to finally meet you too mate.
I saw the GT as it emerged out the side road. Very nice.
I thought Eddy's was pretty good. Good quality food, plenty of beer (even if he did run out !),
close to the track, and all at a fair price.

Christmas meetup ?
Sounds good but trying to get one for the whole site could be tricky.

Dates for leMans next year:
http://www.lemans.org/univers_sport/cal ... ex_gb.html
And just for you Gav, Dates for Isle of Man THIS year (closest I could find):

Cheers,
John.

Hi,

I would just like to say how much i enjoyed my first track day !!!
I just loved the track itself and to finaly get to put the car to the test was a real joy.

Unfortunatly i had a few problems :( (my brake pads are gone, and my front right tire had a bludge in it so i couldn't finish my last 2 sessions).

Here are some pictures i saw at the Marc Duez site.

This is the clio that was passing everyone

Good to meet you Bert, hope to see you next time we are on the continent, and you're welcome to come over to one of our track days if you wish.

Thanks again for the loan of the helmet
