I also hope to have a link to a hotel next to SPA by tomorrow so you can book for the friday night.

Seems the area is not very cheap but we may be able to find something around the 80-90 Euro/night.

We did discuss this, but Ingostadt is 5 hours from the Ring in the wrong direction.... Movit is about 1.5 hours from the Ring, but only really interesting if you want something and/or haven't been before.

Personally I'd rather nail the trip and only have to take 2 days off work.

Yea, I think Gordon was thinking of people who wanted stuff doing could carry on for another day or so....

Actually, if MoVit is that close to the ring it may be possible to get to Movit first thing Sunday (for those that want to), and still do half a day at the ring ??

Im talking to these people about a special deal
On evening meal ,overnight stay and breakfast,
you will all have to book your own rooms,
But it is in Spa and it looks really nice, secure carpark 4 euro extra.

I will post a price later

Errrr... missed the JohnW in Phil's post, sorry.

But didn't see/read Andiroo had booked too (which is super coooool, long time no see/hear).

Anyway, as long as everyone saw the "your entry has been registered, you'll get confirmation by post", it means your entry should be valid.
Hehe, you guys were really fast on this one, even non RSDC participants :D

So I guess I'll hear from the organizer very soon, hope he won't say 9 is ok, 11 is not. I don't think he will but we never ever know for sure until it's all done 8)

Sorry I can't be more specific, this is the first time I go to SPA and deal with this way of applying the entry, both for myself and for a group booking.

LOL, just got a mailing from the organizer, seems we've flooded his bookings.

I'll check with him later today if all 11 of us are OK/Confirmed and if we can still pay on the day.

========================
Considering the success met by “Duez Day” of October 23, 2004, we must stop the future inscriptions. Nevertheless, we give you the possibility of registering you on a waiting list to the case or there would be desistance.

In this case we will contact you by mail or telephone.

If you are already registered, do not be long any more in carrying out the payment to confirm your inscription and that at the latest for October 1

Sportivement,

Marc
========================

On the other side, if you folks are sure to come and want to be 100% to gain the entry (ie. not get screwed "a la RSDC 2004" again) and save time from admin issues on arrival, might be worth paying by wire transfer before the Oct 1 deadline he mentionned in his mail.

Note : that's what I'll do.

The bank details are on the entry form but I'll paste them here.
IBAN BE74 3400 9444 5807
Code BIC BBRU BE BB (Banque ING)
Make sure you add your full name and "Audi RS246" in the comment/subject field of the wire transfer.

Eric
PS : if you didn't get the mail, it's probably not very good news...
