All cleaned, polished, hoovered and everything "trackday" checked and re-checked just incase. Should be a blast!!!

I'll update this thread afterwards with pics and vids and *hopefully* some reaction vids as I'm adding a face cam to my usual setup :D

FFS, it's pissing it down, shiney car now soaked :(

Good idea Ian, my little bro nicked my gopro for his brands race this weekend but might be able to borrow my sisters drift HD. I was thinking of sticking it to the rear interior light facing forward so you can see the passenger (albeit not thier face), the track and dashboard.

Scratch that, she just got all pissy about having to ride to work for one day without it. Sister's moods make a crack addict look stable! :?

Thanks for the heads up but it's toooooooo laaaaaaaate - Just starting pegging it down :(

I'm having 1 Drift HD cam on the outside on a suction mount (not too sure where yet) and the other Drift HD mounted internally on the passenger side suck to the inside of the windscreen which will be mic'd up for reaction vids.

What an awesome day!!!

It started off poorly due to a complete lack of organisation but one it got going it was a riot! Sadly I split a boost hose just before noon and had to cheerlead for the rest of the 246 bunch for the rest of the day instead but I still managed about 10 runs. Marc sounded awesome and I really regret not getting a ride with either him or Si before I called it quits, especially as Si was a complete loon and managed to utterly melt his brakes creating so much smoke the marshalls though he was on fire!!!

I've only a few poor pics but everyone has some great in car footage of both the track, other cars & and the passengers reaction to the RS!!!

I'm at a diner having tea so I'll post up my vid late tonight.

Everyone seemed to enjoy it hugely as these reaction videos show, although in the 3rd clip I managed a 4-wheel drift over the chicane rather than around it much to the amusement of the passenger :D and our gate alone (20 cars) has raised over £2200 and there was 300+ cars doing rides so the final total will be epic.

I'd just like say a HUGE Thank You to both Si (SuprSi) and Marc (Marc1) for donating their valuable time to help some great causes (and get to drive like loon for free) :D

PS I apologise for all the Fridge talk and speed counting in almost every clip, I got a bit of a rhythm going with my crap banter but the passengers seemed to enjoy it!

Great video Ian and some fantastic reactions. I liked it when you asked if that was fun and all of a sudden another small kid from the back pops his head around to join in the 'yehhh'!

Awesome day, and fun had by all. The Viper used two tanks of fuel and Bruntingthorpe ain't that long!! I averaged 7.9mpg over the course of the journey down the night before and the trackday!

Will post up some pictures tomorrow. Hopefully Si will have his footage too. :beerchug:

Was a crackin day, thanks Ian for getting us in on it, was great to meet you Marc. Cheers to both of you for helping me out in pit lane. :beerchug:

It was quite amusing when Ian came running over to me in the pits saying my car's about to catch fire, I was completely oblivious to the thick white smoke billowing out of the arches lol (ebc yellows aren't up to track use it turns out!)

I'll get some videos up tomorrow at some point, only two of the reactions videos work as the gopro or sd card decided to give up. I've got some forwards facing footage, notably of the viper not being able to get away (and that i kept bragging about in the reactions videos  ) Ian stuck his Drift on my back window facing backwards so I can't wait to see that, should be good.

Glad you had fun guys, and well done for raising money for charity.

I heard via another forum that a friends Fiat Coupe had a couple of races against an RS6 - any of you guys by chance? He also mentioned that someone cooked their gearbox?

Could have been one of us, I don't think there were any other RS6's there, only other Audis I saw were an RS4 and an S5. None of our gearboxes went though, unless he mistook my smokey brakes for the gearbox? idk.

The footage Ian got after slapping his camera on the boot of my car is excellent, I'll get it uploaded tonight. It's very satisfying watching some very quick cars struggling to catch me, our two C5's and the B7 did awesome 8)

Well done guys, looks like both you and the passengers had a great day out and all for a great charity too.

Thought a B7 might be a little lacking in the power stakes for that sort of thing?

Nah, Marc's RS4 was fine, he was probably faster than quite a lot of stuff out there. :jump_clap:

Haha, yes the B7 held up well even with me behind the wheel. :biggrin3: had a few Exiges try it in the corners but couldn't catch us and even had to back off for one of them or we'd have gone into the back of it. Was surprised with that actually.

Carbon clean, filter, non res exhaust and a good Italian tune up keeps the B7 performing well it would seem. :jump_clap:

The GTR's were quick. The Cerbra left me out of the chicane as we hit the straight too.

Great day, lots if fun and good to meet some nice like minded folk. :beerchug:

Will sort pictures out at some stage too.

There was everything from Corsa VXR's to 700hp+ GTR's which was a really good mix of cars. I had a play with the Fiat on the 1st sighting lap and, with 480hp, it was rapid but we weren't on the track together again. I think the gearbox confusion was either one of the other RS's there or a mix of my early stop and Si's brake smoke (epic man points btw!).

The Rover Metro was funny, especially bullying the C63 AMG out of the way.

I couldn't catch the PES charged S5, that thing was quick and out pretty much non stop. Looked lovely too.
