Had a great weekend this year, despite the rain. I had a few goes on the 1/4 mile and managed to just beat simons 1/4 mile, but i couldnt get the traction off the line. Sunday was a different story and the rear diff exploded. Pics can be found here http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22714

Still did 0-60 in 4.1 and 12.5 1/4 mile in the pouring rain.

If anyone has any videos of my car on saturday morning, please can they either host them and put a link up, or send me the vid and i will host it. I tried to get Doug (MRC) to take it up the strip so I could hear it from outside, hes glad he didnt now!!!

Tom, I was the guy that chatted to you just before the 'big bang'. Shame as was really looking forward to seeing your run. Saw the video of your S2 on the RR at TSR and it sounded awesome.

Look forward to seeing it back on the Somerset roads soon

Gotta give you a call to arrange bringing the S4 down soon, that's if your old man will have it back. I heard it got fed up of the sight of it last time it visited

Strange how they have put me in the VW 4WD class. I thought the registration plate might have been a giveaway, along with the fact that they wrote it on the rear screen Oh well 2nd in class for 0-60mph even if it was the wrong class

Lucas did his time on michelin cups in the wet!

Phil did a 4.20 0-60mph. I have a feeling this was done in drive rather than sport mode though.

My skoda diesel can do 0-6MPH in less than 4 seconds, so there! (read the actual time slip!!!)

they all show 0-6mph, i commented something along the same lines to Lucas

quick changes on the rs6 box compared to the crappy 6 speed manuals - lucas was able to brush his hair in between the 1st to 2nd change. But then Simon technique got him good times - ram the f@~ker into 2nd

when you see how bloody hard it is to get a tiny bit shaved off your 0/60 time---it just shows how F Q the mk1 golf was last year with a time of
2.75 seconds.
