Well, what can I say. A great day out. Nice to see some new faces as well.
Firstly, a big thank you to the pit crew bitches - above and beyond the call of duty there
Some great driving, my best ride of the day was Dunc - making full use of the track to keep the speed of the mighty S3 up with the rest. Those brakes!
Dave, that S4 is set up superbly. Just the right platform with that suspension.
Phil and me had a good time round the track.... errm I mean trip to the petrol station
CBP was, as usual, giving us his version of four wheel drifts round the corners.
Never got to travel in the Noggy beast, must try harder next time.
I still can't believe that it was RS4john's first trackday
Tim seems to be enjoying his upgrades
Vinny was just going about his business (you know what they say about the quiet ones)
Simon has hooning it around as always.
Nice seeing FatBoy again and JAMES for the first time.
I think the moment with the black Rover 75 at lunch will live with PaulS3 for a while
I really hope I haven't missed anyone out here, It was such a good day. I just hope all those that had problems can get them solved quickly and get their cars back up to spec (or higher )
I want to finish by saying a big, big thank you to Eric. To come all the way from Paris for just a trackday is unbelieveable. I can tell you enjoyed it. Well done mate.

Yep great day, quite a few casualties though, hope all are sorted asap and as ever good to see you all and finally meet the (in)famous Mr Andy Law (oh and top marks to Eric too!) . I was a bit dubious in the morning about the organisation and the full circuit being opened up (those hairpins blimey!!!!), but by the end of the day I have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable track days I have done! No hassle with overtaking, plenty of space and no problems with the other drivers.

My S3 did me proud!

Oh and those 200Sx's and Cosworths around the Melbourne hairpin were putting on a good show for the spectators too...

problem with having everyone in the same group is that action pictures are hard to come by.
I think a few were taken, but my camera/camcorder stayed in the boot of my car all day
rs4john - can you email me the vid of JR's car

Nice to meet up with you guys again. Had a good day, glad I brought a tool kit along!
That's a nice sounding exhaust you've got Phil, feel sorry for whoever fitted that, they must be aching!
No doubt I'll be seeing you all at the next one.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, nice to put a face and personality to some of the names here on the board. It was my first track day out and I had an absolutely fantastic time, as John said; it wouldn't have been the same without you all there.

The highlight of my day was the second session in the morning (official session that is Dunc, Simon, JR, you crafty buggers). Someone had broken down on the out-lap causing half of the cars (including me) to get stopped in the pit lane whilst the recovery truck did a rescue. This left me right at the front of the pit queue with everyone else behind me, those who had already gone onto the track had filed back in at the other end of the pits. I basically had the track to myself for the whole 20 minutes! There I was expecting a pack of ravenous wolves clawing at my heels but didn't see anyone in my mirrors for the entire session, even caught up with and overtook 3 or 4 of the back markers, totally loved it! Top performance from the S3's, they really didn't hang about, although Simon may of had to do a little to get home? It was also nice to overhear so many comments from the general spectators on how many nice/rare Audis were present and given it some welly .

Thanks Andy for rounding everyone up for this! I hope every one got home OK, BTW my brake lights were working fine JR I just lost too much speed applying them How's your car?

I will look forward to doing some more of the same very soon (Hock trip very tempting).

Vinny.

Hey Vinny, glad you enjoyed the day. Sorry that your rally in my car was cut short.

All coilpacks were replaced at home this morning and the car is now back to its former glory.

What a superb day out Many thanks guys for rallying round for this one to make it something special - GP circuit as well

Good to meet some new faces, Dunc, Paul, Simon, you S3 guys were superb all day , and another RS4 in JAMES. Many thanks to Fatboy for spotting the reason why I was blackflagged (see enclosed piccy) - luckily it was spotted without creating too much damage and is now back to being OK. I have to say heads will f*cking roll over this error

And special thanks to Mitch for all the data we acquired during the day - heat soak was a particular problem we couldn't solve all day, loss of boost around lap 2 or 3, but we reckon we have logged the problem so I'm happy

Apologies for the lack of passenger rides, just seemed to run out of sessions, but next time Paul you will be the first

Special mention has to go to Eric (Taipan) all the way from Paris - good to see you mate, we will come to you next time, probably early next year
