What happened at Oulton to kick off all this Steve vs Chubby stuff?

Not quite sure, the young boy used to own the RS4 I now have, seems to want to prove that his new car is better and faster than it. Think hes got a race Sierra RS500 or something, if he has it could be quite quick, I used to muck around with Andy Rouse, Graham Goode and Steve Soper back around '88 / '89 when they were the thing to have, not much of a challenge really, race car vs working car.

Has something to prove or has a bee in his bonnet don't know, with the youth of today who does???

I wish I knew what was going on.... It seems a little out of character. First time I've seen the passing of ownership of an RS4 turn this way.

Chubby - You've got a very nice example of an RS4 with a good history.
Steve - Your Cossy is a monster. Why not just bring it to the next track day?

Not quite so sure on the history part Phil, racing owners could explain why my poor Audi dealer has had so much to do though!!! Tyres, brakes, paint etc...

Although, it did go to Scotland first, perhaps they were responsible for some of the parts needing replacing, maybe I should ask Steve when he comes down from on high!!!

Chubby i have only met once at Oulton, and seems a nice chap too, and both of you would proberbly get really well face to face, Chubby come to the midlands meet on tuesday, and sort any bad feelings out over a beer.

Would love to come to a meet, unfortunatly I am the manager / coach of Nottingham Forest under 16's football team and we train Tuesday evenings. Any other day of the week and I will try and get there.

Question do you have Sportec 19 x 10inch, how do you stop them rubbing under heavy driving - like Oulton Park???

Sportec suspension. I'd be interested in possibly increasing the quantity if you are thinking of getting some.

On the subject of suspension, has anybody heard if Thorney has got the Nitron setup yet? If it hasn't lived up to expectations, I would be interested in the Sportec kit [img]images/graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

The Sportec suspension is very low (30mm lower) and quite stiff so no problems with rubbing - bit bumpy for everyday use though [img]images/graemlins/roundeyes.gif[/img]
