The other notable thing from the passenger ride was how much quicker the TT was on track than the C7 RS6 that was there!
Finally got the videos done, so thought I would post proof of my RS6 bashing ha ha :audibash:

If you listen really closely, you can hear the cogs whirring in my head as I'm sat in the passenger seat doing sums on how to get my TT up to Lee's car's standard!

Need to get my track driving up to Lee's standard too - boy can drive!

DS2500+ Braided lines+performance fluid+TTRS ducts = I had zero fade on back to back ring laps

I've got good friction material and fluid, ducts haven't gone on yet. Might have to look into the hoses. Will see how the 18th goes at Donington with the ducts on.

I'm thinking part of the problem might just be the track at Bedford! There are a couple of places on track where you have to stamp on the anchors to get down from 120-130mph for a really slow corner.

Hoses will certainly help with feel, I would still recommend doing a bleed. My setup isn't vastly different to yours, although I probably have about 100kg less in curb weight and arguably better tyres. Bedford was fine with me - as you saw.

Is the servo and brake booster working correctly?

Hoses? I meant lines!

Bleed is probably a good idea.

I'm taking the car to Wak of TT guru fame, will ask him to give it a once over too

Anyone tried both the nankang ns2r and federal 595? Any noticeable difference? Tried in the wet?

(Please mention which compound Nankang)

I've done a few in the wet on the Nankang, 120's as you know. Car felt stable and dispersed water well on a soaking donnington (my crash was in the dry) but they need a few laps to get up to temperature first.

This is wet weather footage of Bedford over a year ago on the Nankangs (check out the spin at 5:20): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bENrfIj ... eWhitehead

By the way, Wak is a software tuner, not a mechanic, he wont be able to help you with brakes.

RSR's are a really good tyre and not badly priced.

Go For Federal. I run Ns2r (80) on B7. Tend to overheat after 15min. No surprises there with 1740kg weigh including driver and half tank ;) yes I weighted my B7 🤣
Also don't bother with 2500... go for 3000 ;) you will be impressed

Pads. For Ferodo DS1.11 seem popular. For Pagid RS29.

DS2500 aren't really proper track car pads and kill discs.
