Great to see everyone today, good turn out with a few new faces. Weather was kind to us being sunny all day, but as usual the wind that blows across Croft was cutting through you by the end of it. Brrrrr.....

Dave, thanks for the blast in your car on Friday, handling is definately improved with the h+r kit you have on, although understeer is still present it does help it out somewhat. I really liked the power delivery the car has aswell, very smooth across the entire rev range and a shed load faster than mine.....This doesn't mean you have swayed me to the darkside btw, even if you were managing to catch me up at the end of the day  I'll put that down to those tossy Sport9000's I had to use last minute (my excuse anyway :assflash: ). Yoko avs felt much better a couple of weeks ago but went off a lot quicker  .

FlashyG, did you enjoy your day bud? Looked as though you did. I was really amazed to see your sat nav had the full circuit plan on it, shame it couldn't pinpoint your excact loaction on track though hey? (funny as f**k!) Think we should promote you to the rank of site mascot, your general persona and the enthusiasm you have for the car is second to none. See you soon no doubt

Bakercd, top bloke and along with his better half in tow, hope you both had a good day. How did the brakes hold out btw? Saw you out in the last session so I presume they were still working. :thumb: . See you at another trackday/meet soon perhaps??

Jimbo, said hello but then you dissapeared, where did you go?

Stevesmee, nice to meet you too (and your pit bitches), fmic is sexy as hell but how f'''''' much!?! :bash:

All in all another great day at Croft Circuit.

Sorry i didn't get much crack with you all yesterday, ended up with the three year old nephew who's attention span didn't last very long.
I'll leave him at home next time and introduce myself properly.

I was at the track day yesterday with the audi owners club in my byzance (purple) S2 coupe, was totally in awe at your machines guys.
Thats it, tis decided that my next car will be the RS4
The guy with the nogaro blue RS4 (Gav I think) took my mate for a lap or two around the track, he came back decidedly "green"
Is there any of you guys with the RS4 from the Durham area? I keep on seeing a beautifull silver one parked in my home town. Don't want to say where exactly in case I upset someone

Thanks for the entertainment chaps, I was well impressed. :D :D

fantastic day, nice to meet everyone, shame my car gave it up on the first session ( i'll let you know what it was as soon as, and if audi will honour the warranty!), Croft is a great track and i will be back!
by the way, i love your seats gavin, i will be looking out for some, but i don't hold out much hope of finding some, any suggestions?

Yes they were a huge improvement on the originals which would have certainly put me into some gravel somewhere on the circuit or up the backside of some unsuspecting golf!
Took the advice about the extra cooling down and no signs of warping or unusual wear. Managed all 6 sessions and was getting pretty confident by the end which was more than can be said for the other Misano Red job with the MTM etc. Managed to stay with him for 4 laps at the end and then he went bang too :boohoo: What with him and Steve there could be a shortage of turbos soon!!!

Great day all round and not often you get to see 7 RS4's in the same place

Thanks for the good company and chat guys. Loads of useful tips. Dave, thanks for the stickers now proudly displayed on the car :thumb:

Definitely agree with Gav. Nogaro blue is the fastest colour and forget the election, I'm voting for Gordon as mascot :jump:

As they say in that part of the country...fan-fookin-tastic day !

My first proper full day on track with suspension and brakes up to the job, and I had a blast!

Tyres are now the limiting factor, was very impressed with the car overall and my confidence in its abilities have gone up yet again. Was getting steadly faster all day and only one little 'moment' got the heart beating a bit!

Great to meet all the new faces...hopefully see you guys again somewhere!

Memorable moments..

1. Gav and his little chat with the Revo sales rep !! (funniest moment of the day!)
2. Several stubborn Milltek cars that wouldn't get out the way...grr.
3. Seeing that Lupo attack the first corner after the start/finish straight
4. My little moment at the essses
5. Gordons improvised sat nav for the track  (look out for it in VW/Audi Driver magazine! Hahaha)
6. Hearing people muttering all day about the mad nutter bastard in the Noggy blue RS4 (Gav)

Cracking time...thanks to all.

PS. Nearly forgot...."Can hate be good, can hate be great..."

Thank you all for the very kind comments guys, however it was really nothing more than a blast around my local circuit  .

As for waving the flag, I think we all did an admiral job.

I suppose I'm lucky being so close to Croft because it really is a fantastic track. For those who have never driven it before, it's rewards the driver throughout the whole day as your speed in the faster sections gradually increases with each session that passes and your braking distances are vastly reduced from where you first start out from (vastly being the operative word hey gordon?). Then on the other hand its also good for the driver who has been around there before as they can make the most from the day trying to perfect what they have previously learn't, which believe me isn't easy because some of the fastest lines are reet swines, trying to get them though is good as you are pushing the car to its absolute limits and learning what you can and cant do with it, isn't that right Dave?

Steve you could try qst for the seats as I believe rs4john pruchased some from there only a few months ago (great weight saving btw but if you hate squeaks forget about them).

re. Flashyg mascot.

Any chance we get some 'wobbly-head' Gordons made up so I can have one stuck on my dashboard?? We could even have a button put on it that when pushed say's in an slow Irish accent 'Whale oil, beef hooked'.
