JohnE is suppose to be coming, haven't seen his name on the offical list yet though, DaveP is coming along to watch during the day and will be with us for the evening session. Unfortunately both Phil and Ian can't make it as they have work commitments to attend to.
Sticky boots?? For your feet or for the car??
Are you still coming John? Get your name down bud as the places are fast dissapearing
Any more takers??

Fanfookingtastic day guys, thanks for coming along. Rest of you dont know what you missed - fast track, good friends, great food and scantly dressed women.
Although only a few of us strong, it was good splitting the cars into different sessions allowing us to jump in each others motors for passenger rides. The track itself was reasonably easy to negotiate yet had some sections which made you feel a real hero when you got it right (those back esses). Also had my first 'off track' experience (if you could call it that) with JR in the car in the the last session of the day, all down to having far too much fun and leaving the braking way to late entering the complex coming off the esses. Was a great re-entry back onto track though with the wheels lit up from the grass run-off and the ESP off :cheesy:.
Moments of the day-
Tim's tears of sadness as the rain came down on him and his pilot cups in the first session.
Tim's tears of joy as the track drys out for his next session and he hunts down and gets past the GT3
John's insanly late braking everywhere.....respect.
DaveP's eyeballs hanging out as we drive up the main drag of Whitley Bay in the evening........How much flesh?
Being able to return a passenger ride around Croft from last year, sweet.
One-liner of the day was JR's 'double brown paper bag' anecdote just in case one teared.
Trust you all got home OK, look forward to seeing you again soon.

Awesome time chaps, had a great day and night !
Thanks for the passenger rides everyone, great circuit....nice mixture of fast and technical stuff.
My first time seeing RS4's perform in the wet.....superb! The quickest things on the track in the wet by far! - At one point, in car with Gav, we came up on an old BMW (320?) - we'd slowed down to almost a 'going to the shops' pace and watched him sliding around in front of us...scary stuff!
Cool bits:
Gav setting fire to the barbecue stand...
"Do ya wana dick up ya arse too man?"
GT3's not being able to catch up
Egg smashing at the restaurant!
Getting a ride in the misano missile and having a few moments!
Tim falling off his stool in the hotel bar!
Like I said in the evening...there's not many cars that can hoon round the track all day and then take 5 people into town in comfort!
Look forward to the next meet chaps...

Just re-entered earths atmosphere, god i was knackered last night, after one of the best tackdays ive been on
If you have never done Croft i urge you you to do it.
Got there resonably early to put the corsas on, as soon as the last bolt was tightened the heavens opened up
Greasy track to start, having great fun, whilst everyone was having a hard time keeping the power down, Tim was not happy at all, obviously cos he chose the Cups instead of standard rubber.
Corsas are not upposed to be used in standing water but i managed to keep them in trim
Second session completely different, that curcuit dried out super quick and Tim was buzzing round like a hornet
He seemed much happier
Then our old mate Andiroo turned up in his Pimp mobile
wearing his sheep skin and coming out with superb Andiroo one liners, at this point the cherry bakewells came out, "do i look like a guy who eats cherry bakewells" oh and othere expleatives, much joy was had
We miss you chap
I think Andy was impressed with Tims CSL and they way it was driven, Oh and the awesome note the cars exhaust system produced, respect.
Lunchtime came and fuel was required so on mass we trotted off to the nearest Optimax , as we approached Darlington my car started to splutter, and that feeling of "Oh <beep> what now" came upon me is it the turbos? or is it somthing else? errr no id run out of petrol 600yrds away from the station.
Got back safely and had some awesome sessions in the afternoon, has a little gardening sesion with Gav and ran out of track too
Good lines Vinny and a superb light touch mate.
Only things that passed me all day were the Radical and some super fast Caterham, again lots of people were in awe of what an RS4 can do, at this point im thinking about now keeping the car and buying somthing else than a GT3 after seeing the one at croft.
Oooh night time
And the fun began ,went out for Japanese , got eggs thrown at me, drank lots of Chablis, went looking for mingers, and found plenty.
Went to a club to see Tim dance
and saw a couple practically having sex in frount of a mound of sweaty northern lads
Tastefull.
Decided i better get a taxi back only to find a queue about 50 strong , so walked about 2 miles back to the hotel, god that sea air wakes you up, got up at 7am drove 5 hours to get home and had to do it all again at a birthday party.
Phew
But thanks to Vinny for organising it and thats about it folks.
You all missed a good un
Cheers

Great to see you all again
I had forgotten just how blindingly good a circuit Croft is. The day was just deep, deep, joy once the first session was over that is.
What a tiring twenty minutes that was. First time Croft had seen rain in I think 11 or so days and the rain that fell just made the surface Sooooooo greasy. Almost as slippery as the bar stools were later, eh Dave?
Didnt help that I had switched the car into M-Track mode either. Sideways everywhere on those cups. Simply couldnt deploy power anywhere. That first session was the best argument you will find for 4wd anywhere
... It got worse though. Just had to let some traffic past - JR went by with total ease. Tried to follow him. Nearly smacked the car trying! Aaaaarghhh. More traffic let by and then a Works Mini Cooper S. It just doesnt get worse than that.
Knew there was rain forecast for the day, but hey it was late May and hoped for some dry tracktime later on. Sure enough the circuit dried - and warmed up very quickly for the rest of the day, was able to deploy power and work those cups
Comments of the day.
Andy Pikey Boy Roo "You mean that roof is real? I thought it was a stick - on from Halfords"
JR along the lines of "yep the women up here are definitely double baggers" As Gav pointed out just in case one tears
Those Caterham guys (excellent blokes really refreshing lighthearted attitude) "Yeah we only wear Sparco flameproof suits 'cos we actually wanna look like c**ts"
The Tepanyaki restaurant in the evening was fabulous. Didnt realise they did sophistication that far north Gav?
Great to see you and Xant again. Sorry for the rather "pointed" questioning! That chef guy worked extra hard for his money that evening, and Dave really improved his tossing skills
Great of you to stand l'addition JR. Somehow I dont think it will be too long before we can repay you
Wall to wall pu$$y later on though. Much of it really quite alright too IMO, but then my beer goggles were thicker than JR's
Everything you have heard about Newcastle is true!
Great time boys. Thanks Gav for making it really happen
Big up to Andy for correcting me on my lines. Sorry for nearly killing us both. We were right on the ragged edge at times mate

Sorry it's been so long guys. Good to see 'the guys' again, and good to meet Dave for the1st time.
As usual Croft is an excellant day, especially when limited to 3 sessions per hour - just long enough to get your confidence up throughout the whole day without leaving you feeling you wanted more track time.
Have to say all three drove fab throughout the time I was there - JR awesome at carrying speed and sounded glorious going past the pit wall - Tim knowing the limitations of his superb CSL (what a machine), and with some excellant very high speed opposite lock - Gavins very silky smooth driving style with one hand whilst picking his nose.
Highlights,
- Tim's car
- Tim's ability to drive the car
- Charlie Big Potatoes past the pit wall
- Tim flat on the Jim Clarke Esses sideways
- DaveP after his subsequent journey with Tim - eyes like a frightened rabbit walking with an ass like a clowns pocket
- Tim's car
Glad I could share some of my experience on the best line thru the esses complex, certainly makes for a memorable lap

Cheers guys,
Andiroo
