Good day, and it was good to meet you all again.

Dissapointed - unfortunately my car didn't/wouldn't settle on the rollers due to the Haldex playing up, therefore we aborted my run after 1/2 hour of poncing about (Paul-S3 decided not to run after this..)Simon Elman, who has a haldex controller to lock the car into 4 wheel drive mode managed a run - nice figures (350lb torque and nearly 300bhp iirc )..

Looks like I'll have to wait for Kim Collins' rolling road..
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

Hi lads, top day out, and i'll be along for next one. Thanks for arranging it.

Unfortunately couldnt run our Revo S3's as the Haldex kept shifting power back/forth , and unsettling car on rollers, and they/we didnt want to pull fuses to run 2 wheel drive..

Simon (yellow s3) managed a run, as he is able to switch his haldex into permanent 50/50 4x4 and got really good figures!

cant wait till next event..

It was a great day, even if my bollocks are still frozen solid!

I am however not particularly happy about the result I got though. APR quote that the NDBW 1.8T 1.0 Bar programme should give you approx. 196 bhp and 240 lb/ft of torque. Mine had 150bhp at the wheels which calculates to be 170 bhp at the flywheel (12% loss for fwd cars). Torque was even worse, 188 lb/ft.

I can't believe that. I've gotta get the REVO upgrade sorted, but first I'm going to find out why my figures were so low.

The guy running the road was a really great knowledgeable guy, found some really interesting stuff about brakes and engine tuning, thanks

well here are my plots

Hope you can make sense of them

Assuming 27% loss flywheel power is 445bhp

However on AMD's rollers they estimate the loss to be 30%, which would give 464bhp

Dont know really

But the car still goes like stink Image

Good figures mate

The losses you quote are indeed in question - depending on who you speak to, but at the end of the day 325 at the wheels is pretty cool.

Would have loved to be there mate, but hopefully she's in bits at the moment

He could probably have some good pointers for me on the heat and stuff

He actually said this type of engine, dont worry about the heat.

He said bigger turbos and more gas flow is the answer, the gains on changing intercoolers were minimal

Very interesting chap
