Just read this post. Gutted. It is a great shame that the event has had to be cancelled, but also that the crew have had some major differences. I hope this will not affect the overall good nature of the site. Many thanks to all who nearly made 'Live' happen. I know from experience that events of this size take considerable planning and dedication. You all did a great job to get it this far.
Who are now the remaining crew members? Graham

JR, Phil, Simon, whoever else.
As you know I've been on the site for some time, and I'm getting confused by all this.

You may not choose to do this, but would it be worth clarifying what the current arrangement is.
For example, someone (or collection of people) must own the site, its domain name, etc.

Also, someone must pay for all of this, the hardware it is hosted on, etc.
I assume revenue is raised to cover these costs (advertising) so that us users get all this lot for free.

You don't have to give specifics as after all us users don't pay for the privilege, so what goes on behind the scenes is not our business.
I just think it might help to explain where the crew used to fit in, and why you feel we no longer need one.
If you guys are now just lowly admin, how does all the rest hang together ??
You must have expectations of how things will function, post crew.
Please don't think I'm trying to stir things up, I'm hoping that to clarify things will allow it all to settle down quicker.

I sincerely hope you guys don't think its all too much like hard work and pull the plug

All the best guys,
John.

I know he chose to leave the domain registration public, but posting an address is a bit out of order IMO.

It's public info from the domain registration. The address is actually a business address not a private one.

Such a shame it got cancelled, but hey ho if the numbers didn't stack there isn't much more you can do.

I would like to personally thank Mark, especially for his immense support of the idea when I first put it to the crew - thanks mate :beerchug:

Secondly to David for joining in the support once we got the concept off the ground. I know the three of us put a lot of work into this, especially you two in the latter month or so since I left as crew etc, but if the support isn't there......... Anyhoo, good work guys (and me) to get it where it got

Cheers,

Andiroo
