Xmas meal

Post by kcsun » Mon Sep 15, 2003 11:59 am

has anybody thought of an annual get together staying at a hotel after the meal to assist with hangovers etc

It may be better to organise it for January so as not to interfere with peoples own arrangements with there companies

Any thoughts

Not a bad idea that. I might be tempted, depending on where & when of course

The VW corrado guys normally organise a 'weekender' which for the last couple of years has been at Bournemouth (also do london bashes, but only the one night - and normally most of it spent in Brown's ).
We all book rooms in the same hotel and then go out and get totally lashed (normally includes doing most of the 'mens' clubs too )
A lot turn up midday on the Saturday, and the rest of us that can't make the whole day go down early evening.
Sunday starts with a late breakfast and a car meet in a big pub car park.

Is this the sort of thing you meant Ken, or were you thinking more along the lines of a sitty-downy

Cheers,

Exactly

sitty-downy = meal in a restaurant rather than beer session
