Mark, what time are you planning on setting off? We're going as spectators as well so if you fancy meeting up to travel up there?

Shame Mark - your car still runs though? Are you bringing it to the meet (even as a spectator)?

Car still running fine. Won't be bringing it though. Mate driving his R32 up.

Out of interest, those that are running, have you run before? If so,what times have you run previously and what are you aiming for this time (weather permitting  )?

sorry to hear that mark...my car has been in the dealers for bodywork for 2 weeks now...i picked it up last nite and took it back this morning..
no parking sensors,no sat-nav,radio or tv and although there working outside the car..no indication that my indicators are working on the dashboard(green arrows)..i was told my battery was duff so they fitted me a new 1..but ive since been told that they tried jump starting my car..i think they blew some bits up..all the fuses are fine..OUCH they gonna be kicking themselves if its new modules..
so ive told them that i want my car back for 2morrow..fingers crossed..

With a fairly sissy launch being nice to my clutch that I want to share some more time with I got a 13.8 or 13.9 cant remember with vag-com, which is why I wonder how a vag-com time compares to other timing. I think that was holding on to 2nd much longer than I should have for the 1/4 mile timing so I could see what sort of 0-60 I got too. Ialso wondered how much over 100mph I would be going at the 1/4 mile mark and if changing to 4th or holding onto 3rd was teh thing to do. Having no idea when the quarter was up I held on to 3rd quite late too. not sure what top speed in 3rd is, must be 100ish?

Simon, I hope they get it sorted and back to you in time! Shame for the BMW to not even make it to the start line!

Might be worth telling them your loaner requirements now so they have time to prepare ;)
