350bhp MTM conversion, with MTM clutch, hybrid turbos.

One thing to consider is that the TT has Haldex AWD (essentially fwd until it detects slip) which means you can launch it very effectively and not do that much clutch damage. With permie awd you can lunch a clutch in one go

Its a real bitch when the clutch slips.

However be very careful when you get a new clutch (mine was an RS4 one) coz they bite like a rotweiler and all that torque and BHP puts one hell of a strain on the transmission. Feels great though but costs a packet when things go wrong

The RS246 Slipping Clutch Club be careful how you say that one
My new 550ft/lb one from Stratmosphere arrives at AmD this week, fingers crossed it's up to the job , but like Joshie says the input shaft is the next weak link that needs looking at

Talking to AmD at GTI Int. I believe that they are researching companies who may be able to supply uprated boxes without going the straight cut gear route. Think that once you get to the dizzy heights of 550lb ft (which is truly monumental BTW - more than an Edonis and the same as a Pagani Zonda C12S ) - you've simply got to do something with the tranny.

Not sure of your point mate - hopefully what is important is value for money, enjoyment factor versus £ spent.

Of course some people are happy with their cars just the way they are and this is great - others want to make their cars all that they can be. But loads of money is not necessarily negative if it puts a great big smile on your face - remember you only live once

i`ve heard this before somewhere? ahhh Jr!

Naaaa i understand.... if i had the £££ i would send my S3 straight to abt or mtm for a full job! but not the case at the moment... im having to put in vast amounts of overtime just to keep ontop of things..... all will be well in a few years time though, just in time for the RS3
