Anyone on here going to Le Mans?

Post by OscarH » Fri Apr 07, 2006 7:07 pm

The subject says it all I guess. Am going with a mate, though still undecided if it will be my RS4 or his Ford Sierra Cosworth/Corvette.

If anyone is going would be opportunity to meet up!

Im going with some of the guys & girls from the corrado forum, wether i have found my ideal s4 before then is another matter. We're staying in houx annexe from thursday afternoon, easily spotted due to the rather large flagpole with an aston flag & beer mountain.com flag flying proudly. Which campsite are you in?

Not sure, another friend has been going for the last 5 years and he always rents a house somewhere nearby and we're staying there. We're getting there friday afternoon. Where should we be going on the Fridaynight?

Going with a few friends for our annual pilgrimage :)

We could meet up in the town on Friday or at TimJMS' Champagne bar in the village on Saturday evening ?

What are the places to go in town on Friday night? I am not sure what our plans are yet, but think that it is likely we will be in town on friday night. I have been only once and then we got their saturday pm to leave again sunday pm, which I was later told means I missed out on lots......

The parade takes place through the centre of town on Friday afternoon and it is well worth seeing. We usually head back to the circuit on Friday evening, plenty going on :)

Look out for Old English White E Type Roadster (TOY) in Maison Blanche, turn right and nearly at the end of the camp site before the open top bus by the track side is where we try to camp. Arrive Thursday from Zeebrugger leave Monday to meander back for return crossing Tuesday pm.Lots go on but by the nature of Le Mans I can never remember other than we spend a lot of time in Arnage.

Not booked it this year as too much going on. Although allready regretting it and might just drive down for the race this year with my brother-in-law. Grab a late Ferry on Friday night, stay for the night and then head back sunday evening or Monday morning if I cannot resist getting wankered.

I really want to see the Porsche and the smutty diesel Audi :D

Also on the way home yesterday this was parked in the bentley garage - it did'nt help.....

I'm going down with some of the guys from Tyresmoke, some of us will be in Maison Blanche and some in Beausjour. Look out for the Tyresmoke.net stickered cars.
Cheers,

Am arriving at Zeebrugge on the Wednesday, staying at Houx Annexe, driving my Caterham R400 8) (RS 6 will stay @ home  )

Friday 10am onwards - Arnage/Indy bends on the circuit are a must for eyeing up the exotica :D

If anyone sees a bright green 7 with RMB plates, give us a wave :bigwave:

Roll on Le-Mans, new works cars from Audi & Porsche plus Aston Martin in with a decent chance of class honours. Can't wait :)
