Is it possible to get the "new" style keyfob to work properly for the RS4 B5?

And do I need to go to the dealer to get it programmed? ( I have VCDS)

You need to find out what frequency they work on. If it's the same as the old squarer style and you swap the immobiliser chip over I can see no reason why not.
