Do any of you know Peter who drives this RS4? He reversed into one of our work vans while we were sat in it having lunch on the 21st December. He said he would sort out the damage directly with us so he didn't have to make a claim. Despite several phone calls & a letter we had no response so went through the insurance company. He's now saying we drove into the back of him and gave him £100 to fix his light!! Can't believe it. He actually told us he had a limited mileage policy and had gone over his limit, so didn't want to involve insurance companies.

lol the same comment then directed at the OP instead perhaps!! Slightly daft as a owner of a B5 might have more support on this forum than a white van man!

And we all know they never tell fibs.

I'm an Audi driver (only a 3.2 v6 though) myself and a VW enthusiast. One day I would love an RS4 which is why I look on the forum as a guest. I actually had a nice chat to the owner about his car, which he how he came about telling me about his insurance policy. You can see from the picture that the damage to his rear quarter (caused by the wing on the van) couldn't be possible if the van hit him from behind. The fella was lost and on his phone getting directions when he attempted a 3 point turn down a lane (having just driven past the parked van). He was up North visiting family but lives in Swansea.
I'm not really sure why I did start this thread, as like you say it's not like I was ever going to get anywhere. Just wondered if he was on here I guess?

Try AUDI SRS forum (google it as can't post link) as there is much more activity on there for owners of that model RS4

In cases like this i thought you could contact the DVLA and obtain the registered keepers address?

Its not as clear cut as that , i had a hit and run on my van , with a witness and half the car left behind and its been a farce from day one with the police and dvla hiding behind data protection , its still not resolved since Jan .... Id love to resolve it

Yeah, I recognise the plate. Sure owner is on SRS. Not sure who it is though.

Thanks for the advice regarding SRS. He gave us an address (not sure if it's correct?) along with his number but every time he said he would meet up to give us the money he cancelled! I don't think he ever had any intention of paying.
