Exhaust manifolds?

Post by k5turbo » Fri Jan 06, 2012 9:06 pm

Hi there my passenger side exhaust manifold has a crack in it and i want to replace it ive heard that the engine has to come out does anybody know if this is true or is there a way to get to them without having to do that?
Also what would be the best to replace them with standard or aftermarket ones? ive seen the aftermarket ones at £1500 which is abit too much for me are there any cheaper alternatives ?
Thanks Sam

Depends on how much you want to spend really.... There will probably be a few things appear when the engine comes out!

Doing it yourself?

LOBA manifolds are great and are being used in some very high powered cars. PM supersi for details as he works for loba.

Wagner Tuning also do very good manifolds!

When the engine is out there will no doubt be a few things that need changed, but best wait untill then engine is out before spending alot of money on things that you dont know need changing.
