I think one day a b5 with 40,000 on the clock will be worth more than a b7 with 40,000 on the clock.

I have considered swapping my 23,000 mile b5 for a 30,000 mile b7 but I do not think I would be able to do it when it comes to the crunch. The only benefit I really see on the b7 is the curtain air bags and rear parking sensors which my b5 does not have, and the b7 brakes but I have those.

The V8 sound and wirr of the timing gears is nice but the sound of the 'jet' engine from the b5 is also good. The DRC is nice in the b7 when it is working, but I think a set of PSS9s or similar is just as good on the b5, but reliable.

You have to drive a B7 hard on the right road to understand what the fuss is all about, when you do a standard chassis B5 will feel quite clumsy but I do own both and the B5 does have a lot more character up to 8/10ths

Yes, I have heard the b7 chasis is much stiffer, which I should have added, but as you say for usual driving conditions probably would not notice.

You currently got this sale or return with Nick Johnson again? Thought I recognised the plate, was looking at this on Pistonheads the other day, just checked back on there, lovely example
