I have!!!!!!!!!!
Don't do it!
On a serious note, I sold for the exact same reason, my B5 released a large amount of cash which went towards the deposit, if I could have done it any other way I would have, now i'm a bit more settled financially, I can't even think about a replacement for my pride n joy, don't think I would be able to source a B5 of the same calibre as mine was, and there is nothing out there that really appeals to me much, well for the money anyway...
Honestly, weigh up your options before you take the plunge and sell up, if it works out that you have no choice but to sell, then so be it, end of the day the house takes priority over the car
But then on the other side of the coin, i'm well happy with the property purchase, all worked out well in the end...

I think that really depends how much you need the money.

The house come first is right (so long as you are content that the woman in it is the right one.. Russian roulette....) I had an RS4 from virtually new loved it and subsequently got another, honestly chaps life moves on.... I wont go in to the divorce before it...
Smile....
(for the women reading this i do very much appreciate that it must be the same on the flip side of the coin.)

Cheers for the advice I think the wife will get off my back now Im making an effort to advertise it, or so she thinks! still haven't got around to writing an advert but yes I agree the house is more important. I think when I initially posted I was feeling sorry for my self because Im fed up of having to give up my toys for one reason or another, but Im feeling alot more positive about it now

Nice and appropriate registration on the RS (the Ford I mean).

I know how this all feels.. i'm still in two minds of whether or not to sell mine.
I think because its mileage is so low and its an 02 in untampered condition, someone might want to keep it as an original car.. if i was going to keep it, i'd be wanting to throw money at it in making it faster and handle more like a track car with some interior gutting too.... beginning to think it would be a shame to ruin a mint original.
So Nills, if you can't think of a replacement for your dearly departed b5, mines isn't going anywhere in a hurry unless an enthusiast shows an interest

I really miss the B5 i had if i had the money and space on my drivbe i would have kept it along with the currant Blue flash but it's nice to see it went to a member of the site Ollys and he seems to be enjoying the car as much as i did which is nice to here as they say you never own the car your just keeping it for the next person
