Anyone use Vredstein Tyres?

Post by RS4ever » Fri Apr 30, 2010 8:34 am

I have two questions:

1) They have a diagonal pattern. Do they supply right and left versions. If no the pattern will be different right and left ?

2) What pressures do you run? Vredestein advise 3.2 bars !!!

every tyre is identical, ie one design, the circumfrential groove will be on one side (cant remember left or right) on all 4 wheels. Looks very strange on a car but thats the way they should be fitted.

I've not long fitted a full set of the vredestein ultrac sessanta's. As "Milkybarkid" said all tyres are identical. I had PS2's before and i gotta say, so far these are up there with them wet and dry, excellent tyre IMO.

I run 37 front and 35 rear.
Hmmm, its fast but is it fast enough!!!

yeah it looks a bit odd. You wonder how it disperses the water on one side compared to the other. Surely one must be better.

This is what the look like, the tread goes a different way right and left side

Yes. I run Vredestein Wintracs as Winter tyres and Vredestein Sessantas the rest of the year. Admittedly on a B5 K04 S4 rather than a RS4 but both come highly recommended. 34 all round.

A very good value performing tyre and worth a try.
Mooch had issues with them on his RS6, so maybe they don't perform so well with the extra weight (of the RS6 not Mooch ! ;) )

So long as they are the correct load rating for the RS4?

Mooch fitted a new set of goodyear's and said they were 100% better than the Vredestein's..
