Slight interruption of power

Hello.
My RS4 seems to cough a little between 3-3500 revs in sixth.
It soon gets passed it but it isnt smooth through these revs.
I've only had the car a week so maybe normal??

I had a Noble which did the same thing and it was a Lamda sensor.
Is this the problem?
It went into limp mode the other day after fairly enthusiastic driving but on re start was fine and has been faultless since.

It has been very well looked after before my ownership but not used very much and Im now clocking up the miles. Has Miltek and MRC remap.

Any help most appreciated.
Thanks

If it went into Limp Mode then it should have stored a DTC (fault code) on the ECU. Get a Vagcom cable and hook a laptop up to your car to find out which sensor is at fault.

Could well be a lambda, but if you are only noticing it in 6th then it might be an EGT sensor on it's way out. Your EGTs will usually be higher doing a high speed 6th gear pull (because you are putting more load on the engine for a longer period of time).

Check the plugs are tight first - these are known to come loose over time if not torqued down correctly when fitted.
