if you had a completely standard RS4 B5, wich mods would you do, and wich ones do you think that are a must ?
I know that some will say that we should leave it standard, but that´s not the point, imagine that we want a really well moded RS4.

If I were to do it again it would be:
Brakes
Suspension
Exhaust
Remap
Quick shift
And leave it there.

MAF, diverter valves and health check.
Suspension and ARB's- now 10 years old and 1600kgs+ to lug about.
Brakes- 1600kgs+ to drag down from usually excessive speeds- and they weren't brilliant to start with.
Exhaust.
Short shift and DTS- tightens up the gearshift experience which is usually a bit of a throw and quattro gives you driveline shunt as rear drive is dis-engaged on braking/accelerating. ESP Engineering working on it.
Wheels- any dcent, light aftermarkets with corected offset- avoid the standard wheels unless you want to be knocking on the Audi Warranty counter on a regular basis, hard or soft.
Custom map- enjoy the other mods in context- 380bhp isn't exactly weedy if you've got all the ponies present and correct from the outset (see first mod)
And the J is D.
Regards
Steve

A good Summary Steve, have to echo all of your comments esp MAF and DV's - and probably add a new N75 valve to that list.
Without highjacking this thread does anyone have a contact number for ESP as I'd be interestined in getting a DTS / Brace but their domain name has expired.

Their number is 01892 613292 - if you're lucky, Liam may still have one in stock, but parts were just a sideline and they seem to have stopped producing them.
Worthwhile mod though.

Does the MAF used to give a lot of troubles?
Wich diverter valves are the best to use ? AWE?APR? other?
Wich HR ARB´s ? 32/17mm or 32/21mm ?
Wich is the best/price short shifter ? does the JHM worth the money ?
How much do they(ESP) ask for the DTS/Brace ?
Thanks all
