Read Radio Unit - any ideas?

I had to jump start my RS4 this morning due to a flat battery (left the interior light on overnight after fitting a phone mount).

Everything seems fine except that the radio unit is completely dead. It does not power up at all. Tried the power button obviously, but no joy.

I've checked fuse 37 which is for the phone/radio and it is intact.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas? Could jumping from another car have upset/killed the radio?

Any feedback gratefully received.

Jim

Thanks

Any idea how you get the header unit out of the dashboard? There don't seem to be any holes for access etc.

If you haven't already removed the fuse from the fuse box to check it, I would pull the fuse leave it out for a minute and then refit it.

It could just be that the head unit was "corrupted" (for want of a better word!) by a spike while jump starting and removing the power could reset it. A quick fix if it works and saves trying to remove the head unit. make sure that you have the code to hand once you get it working again.

you would need the keys to remove the stereo might be 4 keys in total

Thanks guys

I pulled the radio fuse in the car fusebox to check it earlier.

Will pull it again and leave it out for a while (might get lucky).

Off to try and source some removal keys.

Just another thought, does the radio light up when you switch the side lights on? (The buttons should illuminate)
