Sorry a couple of other questions on this..

I do limited miles so would this still apply?

In some threads in mentions 5w 30 and others 5w 40?

Is it worth using Castrol or Mobil 1?

Thanks

I use it for short life and change oil every 6 months/6K whichever is first.

Use this mate, it's recommended, fully synthetic and the right temp and viscosity.

If Doug at MRC recommends it, then it's good enough for me! I change mine every 5k or before and after a track day

Semi-synthetic 10w/40 in a silver can?
After 7 months, I'm doing a 3k this week using Platinum (which has replaced Synta Gold)

Must be old stock as Quantum changed to Platinum prob around a year ago as Platinum also can be used on PD diesel engines, before they had Synta Gold and PD Diesel, two separate lines.
