I'm not an expert on the RS4 but going for a lighter flywheel can affect the idle smoothness and can make it more tricky to pull away smoothly. This is due to there being less energy stored in a lighter flywheel. This in turn makes it easier to stall the car on pull away.
You also need to be careful with regard to the clutch setup as if the flywheel is thinner you may have some issues with the clutch engaging and disengaging correctly.
I would speak to Doug at MRC or one of the other 'specialist' before 'getting all involved'.
Hope that helps?

My LWFW causes me no problems (Tanoga)...... pulling away from stand still can cause the revs to drop, but you soon adapt your driving style. Definately a lot better on accelaration and wouldn't be with out one HTH.

Can certainly vouch for DavS4's car. Drove it the once and didn't have nay issues pulling away...
Mind you I was being careful !

Before my car was stolen, it had a Tanoga flywheel and it was a dream to use with no problems apart from a little bearing noise on lower revs. But improvement in the cars acceleration was very good and highly recommended. I was also using a standard clutch. Money worth spending.
