Hi.
Just fitted a cat back Millltek last week. Pipework going to middle box seems low and now im driving it rubs on slopes. Anybody else had this problem? Tried spinning pipes when it was fitted but seems to be a design issue.

i get the same problem, sometimes it catches on certain humps, especially when i have passengers.
have to approach the bump with a certain technique...

Yep me to. I had someone look at it and try and adjust it but it made no odds. I have to approach high speed humps at an angle then its not so bad

Exactly the reason why I don't have a Milltek!
My first RS4 did have one and it was painful listening to the scraping and I knew one day it would do some real damage.
I once couldn't get into a lockup garage parking space at a hotel in Germany because there was an 2 inch high metal tab coming out of the ground that the door rested against and there was a couple of inches step up from road into the garage, I sold the car soon after.
Once I was being followed by some friends who said sparks were coming off it as I drove over an undulating road at speed.
APS looked at it but couldn't improve things.
My standard car rarely touches

Thanks for the tip guys - will steer clear of them in future.
The scorpion I have, has no issues whatsoever...

Mines has been absolutely fine. It always clears all but the very highest speed bumps.
Do you guys all run on standard suspension, or aftermarket?

I have the quattro gmbh suspension. Thought a Milltek would fit like a glove but one bit of pipework is defo lower than the rest and looks like there's nothing you can do about it..

Mine doesn't rub, one of the original brackets was adjusted during fitting. Had to raise my suspension as DTS would catch though...

How can you tell whether you have standard vs GMBH suspension...?

Springs are marked Eibach RS4 Sport HD and rear Anti-roll bar is thicker than std, car sits approx 15mm lower.
My Milltek is a pain in the arse over speed bumps and you can't raise it as it will touch the floor.
Im going to fit coilovers and raise the car 10mm when funds allow.

Mine was stock springs.
If anything, ride height looks a bit higher than my current car.
I seem to recall viperbl grounding his downpipes at high revs/road speed which sent shockwave to the turbos and f**ked 'em.
I suspect he didn't have a stock exhaust though can't be 100% it was Milltek.

What are the other comparative options over Milltek?
What are their prices compared to the Millteks?
Cheers

You have supersprint which is about 600 - 650 and the milteks around 750ish - 800
Im not saying the miltek is bad, its superb bit of kit, just need to watch for speed bumps. god knows what would happen if you lowered it on coilovers.

I had a Milltek on my RS4 for about a week, didn't like how low it sat and subsequently sold it.
My next approach will be to remove the middle box and replace it with a 3" box as opposed to the 2" S4 one that Audi fitted on the standard RS4.
According to Doug this approach together with gutted pre cats, you should still be able to achieve 450bhp with a stage 2 map.
450 is my aim plus it retains virtually original fitment. If you look underneath at the middle box you will clearly see the restriction as the pipe work steps down in size before and after the middle box.
