Anyone know this car? Advice please.

Hi there.

Looking at buying either an RS4 B5 or a S4 B6.

I like the Imola yellow but that makes it pretty tuff to find a car!

Been to see the yellow S4 for sale on PH's but could not agree a price (the car needs a lot of work doing)

Have now found this but am rather nevous about the miles and then trying to move it on when i'm done. Plus I'm near Brighton and the car is in Glasgow, not exactly local.

Perhaps I will get slated for asking this but what mpg would a standard RS4 return. Also what mpg is this one gonna give me (modded).

Any other advice is very welcome. Many thanks in advance.

Looks a lovely car although the long life services isn't a good selling feature. The RS (esp with map) needs to serviced every 4-5k. Ring MRC and ask if they remember the car and if its a good example.

Don't be put off by the miles. If its been looked after then the miles wouldn't be a problem.
Cheers
Rob

My stage 2 RS4 used to top 24mpg
My standard one only does 22mpg
I used both in a similar way (rarely a short journey or stuck in traffic) and the newer one I have driven thru just spring summer, the other was through winter when it's on choke longer.

That does look like a good example, as said before the mileage matters little, aslong as its maintained. Its been modded using top quality parts thats got to suggest its been looked after, and there could be a deal to be had, he'll listen to offers, nothing wrong with having a chat with the owner, if it was red/silver i'd be having a look.

I have seen this car in the flesh, it was early summer and not long after it was purchased.
At that time it seemed like a good straight example.
There was a slight parking ding on the O/S rear door from memory, but that might have been rectified.
That was the only mark on the bodywork at that time.

I haven't been in the car when moving so can't comment on how it drives but it did seem like a good honest example with a good spec list.

Unless it has changed dramatically, I don't think you'd be too disappointed with it if you choose to drive up for a viewing.

As suggested, contact MRC and ask them for some info; I seem to remember the seller said he had contacted them prior to purchasing it and they remembered it and gave him a rundown on what had been done by them etc.

If I can help you out let me know.

Good luck,
Des.

I like it with the b7 wheels it works well in yellow, the drivers seat does look a little past it but its mainly due to its colour, the lighter audi colours (and bmw) dont age very well at all,it may improve using a good quality cleaner such as gliptone

I think you're right Jimbo.......

Try sending Noggyblueboy a message as I think he might have owned it and then sold it onto a mate.

I've PM'd you my number Simon.

Cheers,
Des.
