looking to buy a b5 rs4

hi guys and hello

posted this question on audi-sport.net been a member 3-4 years now with only 1 helpfull reply telling me to ask you lot

Ive been a audi owner for 14 years now . current car being a b5 2.8 Q on a 1999 plate which which ive owned from 2001 and before that i had a 2.2 80 Q now iam going to treat myself to a rs4 b5 .was my dream car since launched and Ive allways wanted one and do think they still look the best rs. Ive found one in the colour and price iam willing to spend 18k only thing is its 250 miles away iam going to px my car in with the dealer and just wanted to no what to look out for regards to the rs4 ive nether owned a turbo car
any info or tips or pointers and any weakness or things i should ask for

any info would be cool

hopefully all will go well and ill be a proud owner of a rs4 and be able to chat with you guys some more

any details on this rs4 you've seen, spec, colour, mods. where its based. it could have been owned by someone on here and we can share/input info for your benefit.

you wont regret it tho

Hi Simon, Where is the car? Someone from here or AudiSRS.com might be able to look at the car with you and give it an unbiased check. They may also have vag com.

Lots of thing on here and SRS to search for that will tell you what to look for. Or you could get it checked at one of the top independent garages? MRC, Unit20 or Tom Cockings spring to mind. Depends where in the country the car is too!

the red x reg on ebay which is outskirts of london 17.5k and also been taking to owner of the yellow one 14.5k (leeds)one on piston heads
do prefer the red one as got full leather and think i can live with red.. yellow some days if you no what i mean

yellow one is on autotrader not piston heads

simon, have you looked at the buyers guide in sticky section?
where are you located?

someone else was considering buying that red one in slough or reading i cant remember properly, but i know its got the bbs LM's which could be a replicas as the centre caps were missing IIRC. good spec tho with sun roof and low miles.
