Gear box problem?

Wondering if anyone has had similar issues?

When turning the car off there is a unpleasant rattle coming from the gearbox/flywheel area of the car. The noise/rattle is less evident when the clutch pedal is depressed when turning the ignition off. (new clutch and fly wheel fitted 9 months ago)

Also, and quite possibly related, when moving the gear stick through all gears, when the car is not running, there is an exagerated noise coming from the gear change mechanism, maybe the linkages? Audi had a quick look a week or so ago (they fitted the fly wheel and clutch and so obviously denied it was anything related to either of those) but said it may be the 'imput shaft bearing'.

anyway, the car obviously needs to pay a visit to doctors at MRC, just wondered if anyone had similar problems. It sounds expensive though!!!!

Long shot perhaps, but the Thrust Bearing could also produce those symptoms?
