Id a go at an aston vantage last week. Stayed on his ass all the way to 120 then I backed off as my mum & dad who were in the car with me started to make funny noises!
Im surprised that i could have taken him so easily! especially 3 up.
never ceases to amaze me this car!

Yep in the past I've run with 996 TT's, Evo FQ320 and FQ400's, all variety of Porkers and one Ferrari. It's an awesome bit of kit really.

Only ever met an old Skyline which was a tad one-sided but the other fella was a good sport, and knew he'd been had.

So far my old Noggy lady managed to be faster than:
- E92 M3 (numerous times)
- B7 RS4
- DB9
- 997 Non-turbo Cabriolet
Met a 997tt once, managed to stick to his ass for a while (he was noticeably faster at lower revs though, most likely thanks to VTG turbos? when we had to overtake another car, but after some spool I was not loosing anymore), in the end he gave up and let me pass him.
I was also suprised by a tuned Evo and an E46 M3 a couple of months ago, we had some rolling starts and they both stayed on the side, it was quite equal. I was on my old shitty MAF then so maybe that was the reason. Did not try them with new MAF in place.
Anyway lots of fun, for sure! I just love this car. Coming back home.... put it in 3rd... rev needle at around 3800 for a moment... floor it... and watch the world dissapearing behind you... Priceless.

Why dream when you can do it for real. Went to Santa Pod yesterday to represent the 4 rings.
DavidT and I spanked many 'fast' cars.
M3's, Skylines, Scooby Doos, 9+litre Chevrolet truck(bigger than my house), RX7, etc.
Were quite a few 'bangers' which would make us S/RS drivers cry if we 'imagined' meeting them on the open road. There was a totally standard looking rusty MK3 escort which was doing a 1/4 mile 2-3 seconds less than us, a stock looking Nissan Pulsar, a completely stock looking 02 plate Astra (!!) and a Ford Anglia with a pea shooter exhaust. It's certainly made me think twice when looking at cars thinking "I could blow that away".
400+bhp just isn't enough these days.

Oh come on you are talking about specialist cars that are pretty much "one off" and if that's what floats their boats then let them ave it!

Yeah, I would be interested in a C63 result. I had one race arranged with a new C63 but somehow it didn't happen. What is your current output?

Had a couple of tussles on my way back from MRC... Notably a White Gallardo which I was gaining on - surely he was in the wrong gear or was just a bad driver?! Also a Focus RS which must have been tuned and was admirably quick but which I left standing time and time again - he would not give up!
Someone I know has just 'called me out' with his new toy - a V10 S8. I've checked the figures and on paper it's got a worse power-to-weight ratio compared to a standard RS4 but will have some quick gear shifts. So I'm not too concerned! His old E55 AMG would have been a different proposition methinks...
