Big Thanks to Doug etc at MRC for their help getting my 4 all sorted...

Now have a de-catted set of DPs, a Scorpion Cat Back system (thanks Musty) and a Stage 2 map.

Got home a little quicker than the last time I did that run :D

All I can say is it feels like a completely different car. How quick it is through the gears?!

I also went out of my way to drive through a tunnel...twice

The exhaust is quite a bit louder on a cruise, so not sure how well that'll go down with the Mrs, but through the gears accelerating hard, it's lovely.

Thanks again and have a great time at The Ring !

...ahhh...at last someone with a Scorpion. I am toying with the idea of getting one as it's a 2.5" dual I think....wondered how the noise/overall fruitiness was.
Currently got gutted (precat) RS4 DPs and an RS4 exhaust without middle box - so there is a fair amount of noise...but don't really want to go any louder.
What sort of power did the remap take you to...do you have any logs/peak maf readings? 8)

Hi Kookie

Yes it's a 2.5" twin pipe.

Noise - it's quite loud up until c3k revs. Alot deeper and a little droney, but you can live with it. Higher revs sounds brilliant. 5k+ revs and sounds bewdiful.

I haven't got any logs, but Doug may have recorded the MAF readings from the map, will ask him when he's back from The Ring this weekend.

Am actually booked in at the end of September for a Power Run, at Chip N Spin Rolling road day. Obviously no idea what it'll say re output, but am lead to believe the DPs + Cat Back + Map should be taking the car up to c450-460bhp level... Not sure if the new filter and airbox mod improves on this at all.

Will let you know.

Great stuff - Cheers for the info! Sounds a really viable alternative.
I look forward to see how you get on at the rolling road - and I'm sure Doug records all the logs etc, so he'll have the maf figure.

Just think mine could do with a bit more breathing, air box/filter is done, chopping the mid box out of the exhaust has helped...but I don't think you can beat a twin...but I'm broke... :( for now....

What does the MAF reading give you then? Is there a calculation from the MAF reading to a theoretical bhp/torque figure then, at the flywheel?

There is a correlation/power loss I believe from the flywheel to the wheels. So assume there must be from the MAF reading...?

Doug or Chris ?

maf / 0.8 = approx bhp

bit of an echo from me
