Yet another noobie - What do you reckon to this one thread !

Post by neilmackay » Wed Aug 19, 2009 10:13 am

Hi all,
Ive been nipping in and out of the forums for a bit, toying with either an RS4 or RS6 Avant due to my Alaskan Malamute dogs now being fully grown ! They dont fit in the back of my mapped Megane 225 Trophy, so the logical step is an Avant......! A friend of a friend has and RS4 and has always loved it! So my question....., there is a nice looking Acoya Silver Avant at a garage called http://www.williamsgroupltd.co.uk/stock.php, with this service history, what are peoples thoughts (there is also an RS6 Avant at another please but all the potential DRC etc issues are scaring me off a bit !!) ??:-

My post was meant to say that the car in the picture looks Avus Grey to me, and that I wasn't aware of an Audi color named Acoya.... ;)

Akoya Silver is a pukka Audi colour and is a bit like Avus LY7H but was never on the RS4, not even via the Exclusive range as it didn't exist back in 2001
(I call it A-Queer Silver as it's not a trad silver).
Can't tell much about the car from that web page but buying for a reputable established garage I'd expect it to be half decent.

I had an Akoya Avant. Nice.
Avus is more grey silver. Akoya is more lilac silver...
