Hi

1. Have heard the MTMs although lovely can sometimes 'bend' or buckle?
2. Can pick up the braided lines from ebay for £55, or depending on where you live a number of tuners can get them for you, maybe a bit cheaper.
11. Although MTM are good there other firms out there...

Doing some of your list myself...

I have had mine over two years and done many track days with no issues at all. A wee bit heavy though, so may be up for sale....

Which samco hoses are you doing are there are no real weakspots on the RS4 like there is on the S4.

You don't have an exhaust on your list???

What about the usual suspects like after-run pump, airbox mod, one-way valves replaced, bin the secondary air injection, remove N249 valve, replace diverter valves with 710N's etc....

Sure you'd regret it Dave.
What else would you buy for the money (even £10k more) that would be a better all round package??

Hope you don't go through with it as I always look forward to see it getting put through it's paces at CC.

Cutting a large triangle out of the base of the airbox - see my gallery.

It's based on a design for the S4, but Doug has recommended it for RS's too - draws in air from the wheelarch.

Ahh, glad to hear that Dave as it's too nice to sell on, it has to be a keeper I'd have thought.

Just remember you say a while back that you had thought of a 996TT.

Yes, I PM'd Doug last week about this, he replied that he recommended cutting the triangulated section out of the side and disable the cold air flap.
This was to be used alongside his highflow panel filter.

Will do Jules, I have a spare RS box so will get it done nice and neat and fit the filter and go and see how it feels.
I'll try to remember to take some pixs.

Cheers,
Des.

Well i didnt know that...usually stock hoses are not as good but since i just got this RS4 i am still new. My other car is the b6 1.8t so yeah your input would be appreciated.

Exhaust is included in the mtm package:) mtm exhaust:) I just have so much confidence in mtm.

All about the usual suspects is a foreign language to me so i guess the list is growing... where can i find more info on that?

Give Doug a call at MRC.
I have an MTM 460 on mine and plan to have a custom MRC map done after I do brakes and suspension.

I had the panel filter changed last week, along with the air-box mod. Can't say you'd notice the difference (car was nearly standard) but if it does allow more air in, there should be greater benefits with more/further mods, like exhaust/DPs/maps etc...

And would definitely agree with the MAF, DVs etc. Thought mine was fine until I drove it with replaced bits, and felt much sweeter/crisper...
