Is yours a 2000 model? Late ones had a revised box due to 1st/2nd syncros not being up to the task.

mikey my car is a 2001 and is currently suffering with a crunch between 1st and 2nd however, this only came about after i fitted my tanoga....

londonmotorgroup the crunch is a symptom of a a failed or bad synchro mesh - you will need to get a new a synchro...

we would expect nothing less! mine also only crucnhes when i floor it from 1st to 2nd. but M3's are not even in our league! as the one i passed as if he was going backwards would testify! :)

Ive not had a go against a m3 yet...so you recon a standard rs4 will be quicker than a standard m3?

i've come up against a couple now eyeball and my car is standard but i had no problem. the rs4 literally just pulls away with ease. i know for a fact the last m3 i ran against was trying because his engine was screaming like a baby......

i have an b5 with a remap 420bhp
i leave the new m3, no problem any day
old m3 dosnt stand a chance
standard m3 vs standard rs4
5.2sec vs 4.8

I find that on mine Reverse is more of a PITA to engage than first gear. Sometimes it requires the depressing and release of the clutch to then get in successfully.
