Blowing smoke when cold

When my RS4 is cold, it tends to blow smoke has soon as you hit full'ish boost. It's enough smoke to see it via the revision mirror - so it’s quite noticeable (not quite a diesel thou!).

Only when the oil temp comes up do you Not notice it / smoking diminishes. Only started noticing it since it hit 85,000kms or thereabouts.

Car has done 102,000kms. Std ECU. Have owned it since 19,000kms, and always serviced 100%. Had DV's and MAF at approx ~70kms, couple of exhaust sensors also around 60km's. Just serviced it last week, and dealer checked Vagcom as clear (But never believe anything they say!).

What’s causing this ? I would not thing it’s ~rings, and must be something boost/computer related?

PS. Hello again from New Zealand

If it's whiteish then it's normal on cold but if it's blue or black then it's not good.

You're asking for trouble bringing it on full boost when cold....... :audibash:

To drag up my old post, I believe it was the wroing top up oil that was using.
Once the old was changed, problem gone.
I was then careful to then buy the exact Mobil 1 'ESP' 5W30 that the dealer used inthe first instance. Note the ESP bit.
